I also have some concerns about adapting the game to work in a system friendly way that works with the CD, and being able to loop tracks etc. but I don't know much at all about programming for the CD32 yet.
I was asked if I could do something similar with the Vampire V4, which sounds a lot easier to do as you could load the entire tracks into RAM. However I don't have the hardware and I'm not keen on trying to do something like this without being able to thoroughly test it myself.
We'll see...

Great, thanks for considering this!

I'm not sure why you want auto-fire to be disabled though? It always seemed like a limitation of the original imposed by 1 button joysticks rather than a desired feature. Can you explain exactly what controls you want to use?
Well, it's a weird feature request I know. The main two reasons are that the auto fire is really fast and it kind of drowns out all other sounds and the second is that I'm just used to not having it I suppose.

But to be clear, this is a really minor point and I always try to be careful when asking for features - it's your game after all . Might try out the two button option, thanks.

Edit: I guess the two button one, while accurate, is not how I'd personally want to use it. I'd much rather have button two be jump. But again, this is all very minor stuff on a really great game.

Thanks for sharing this important fix. If you play the floppy version, you can also hold both mouse buttons during reboot and disable the caches there in the Amiga early boot menu.

EDIT: Never mind, using the early boot menu doesn't work.

I completed the game late last night. I managed to get all the enhanced secrets as well. The game is extremely polished and has many improvements on the Amiga original. It's going to be hard to go back to the OCS version for me. It's a tremendous release!

I found a small difference in underwater level - I think big fish should become homing if you shoot it.

There are lots of Differences; too many to list them all; but that´s ok and even welcomed.

What Muzza & the gang did here is really a Miracle

Damn, that was pretty fast - only 2 days after release - maybe I should have hidden them better
Congrats!

Did you like the (spoiler) as a reward?

Legend Muzza! I'm so pleased to see this out. Well done!

I've just had some time now to try it on my A4000/060 and it's pretty awesome, but there's a few things I'd like to run past you but we'll save that for the next few days.

Merry Christmas, and again, well done!

The first update is all minor fixes/additions (thankfully there have been no showstopper bugs) so don't worry about it.

I can easily add a control scheme that is 2 buttons, with button 2 as jump, but I wasn't 100% clear on whether you were talking specifically about 2 button controllers, or joypads with lots of buttons? Currently there is no way to turn off auto-fire for custom joypad controls - mainly because I didn't think anyone would want it. But you can always just tap the button to fire once.

I'm planning on adding some audio options for better volume control, but your comment also makes me wonder if I should just turn down the volume on the player shots?

Thanks! It was fun finding them. The reward was amusing. I replayed a little bit with it.

Gave it a short try under UAE for now and I must say it's absolutely amazing. I'll be playing this come spring when I get to my CD32. Thank you.

True on the tapping thing

I actually play Amiga games with both a many-button style pad and a 2 button stick, the autofire thing was indeed on the CD32 pad - mainly because I had that plugged in already

I dunno, it might just be me and the monitor I used (it's an old Philips CM8833 and those don't have the best of speakers I suppose).
