Yes, the game is a fantastic conversion. It's sad it never saw the light of day until now.

Definitely!!! The music, the graphics, the intro all rock

The only downfall is that it's only 1 player

Can't really complain though. Absolutely awesome conversion

Really sad that it's just 1 player. But otherwise it's an amazing conversion which definately should've been published. Thanks alot.

BTW: Was a 2nd player planned ? Because theres written 1P next to the points. Why would you write that when there's just one player ?

Great stuff, but can somebody provide the image as an adf-images please. Couldn`t convert it via mfm2wwarp and wwarp. ;O( Or is it possible to write an ipf-image back to disk? How does it works? I own an real amiga only and can`t wait for the whdload-install. ;O)

Bye

Unless Codetapper or Galahad do that anytime soon, it is unlikely.
It uses a custom format and holds about 110k more data than a normal ados disk.

That hol entry in the hiscore is naughty
You can see the highscore table just by leaving the game to run its demo mode.

Might as well try to conduct an interview with the authors, story about the development etc. for completeness. This is one truly exceptional game.

Been playing it for a bit now, it's very, very good

I especially like the "extra" part that isn't in the arcade version i.e. when you kill all the baddies at once, the scrolls drop from the sky (just like in the arcade version). However, you will also notice at the very top of the screen there is a door. Go in here and it's a "special floor". These also change depending on which level you are on. Very cool

I'm going to visit Pierre Adane to give him the IPF disk master on a CDROM,
and interview him. ^^

Yes it's possible

do the following :

1) Create a WWARP image on winuae with this line command :

WWARP SNOWBROS.WWP C

2) WWARP SNOWBROS.WWP TRACKS 1,3-159 Y 4488

3) WWARP SNOWBROS.WWP TRACKS 1,3-159 L 3182

4) WWARP SNOWBROS.WWP W

You need to have a good drive to copy it !!! track size = $3182 !!!

Lightbulb

I've only had a quick play and got to level 10 without losing a life - seems to be a lot more power-ups than the original. It is a very slick conversion and the colours especially are brighter than the arcade. Well done Pierre and co!

One thing I simply do not understand though, we had to wait a week for CFou to return so he could do the WHDLoad install first, then the IPF would be released. As soon as he got back, the game is released without the WHDLoad version being finished! If you were going to snub him like that, why just release it in the first place?

Couldn't agree with you more. Loads and loads of power-ups and seems very easy
