The S$123K goal just reached also adds the special key profile for the J an F keys used for locating position on the keyboard without looking.

The first Amiga 2000A keyboards (those with the red Amiga keys and gaps around the spacebar) were actually made by Cherry and used black MX switches, and the external casing is more or less the same as newer membrane keyboards, so I guess they would fit.

Perhaps in the A2000 keyboard case, but inside the wedge models there may not be room. Have anyone tried fitting an A2000 keyboard inside A500?

The Amiga was always a minority concern in Iceland (outsold by both PC and ST), with no official Commodore subsidiary and machines being imported from either Denmark or Germany.

As a Apollo 1260 owner (with overclocked 060 - so yea, with a heatsink) I reeeeally dont want a thicker keyboard. ;-) Then again, now that I think about it, my current keyboard is just fine :-) Skickat från min LG-H850 via Tapatalk |

Smashed it! Really glad to see the special concave J & F keys. I'm thinking of getting another set for the A600, but something fun - orange+light blue looks quite funky and Workbench 1.x like.
A Polish keyboard could be very popular if Commodore never made one. |

Actually there are two (!) polish keyboard types. One is "typist's keyboard" (PN-87) based on german QUERTZ with polish letters on separate keys. This type is not so popular.
More popular is "programmer's keyboard" based on english (US) QUERTY with polish letters on "base letter" keys with right [ALT] ("Ą" is from "A", "Ć" is from "C", "Ę" is from "E", etc). Remember that blue letters are not visible on keyboard. So, in practice there's no need for separate polish keyboard, because more popular keyset is based on common US keyset. Has there been consideration for the light grey/beige-ish A500/A2000 colour scheme? Bright white A1200 style keys would look a bit out of place on an A500.

I agree, still backed for 2 sets but don't think i'll put one in an A500 or A2000 keyboard (at least not the white "original"). I asked the same question to Philippe in the comments section and the answer said the "original" keyboard colour was designed to match there white A1200 case. Also asked about the light grey keys might be close but Philippe missed that part of my question. It is a shame but I guess they can't meet everyones requirement, good they are doing this, hopefully in the future they can make an "old original original" version, fingers crossed.

Well it's true that we can't expect everything, but I'd rather have the A500/A2000 option than several shades of pink and fuchsia and whatever

Considering that the campaign went well, maybe its not impossible to ask again and convince Phil to add "original A500" color? Skickat från min LG-H850 via Tapatalk |

Hi.
I would very much like the A500 color as well. Maybe if there is enough demand he will change his mind? |

Hi Guys, Actually i did answered to that question but somewhere else i guess. Here is it in short, and the reason why we're not doing it: - While we do understand that most of you would like to get the "Original" A500/A2000 colours in the keycaps Color chart, that's quite difficult. In fact, even Commodore had slight differences in colors on their A500 depending when/where they were manufactured. Add to this fact that most of you guys have yellowed A500 or A2000 keyboard cases, and these are all yellowed at different levels! So i bet you understand the issues now! So to keep it simple: - We're consolidating our own color chart. The A1200NET color chart. - Do not forget we're working on other products that will use the same color chart. - Then at a certain point in time, we'll select ONE variant of original Commodore "Creme" theme and make it available for all the products we're working on. There isn't any simple answer to this issue guys. And we do understand your request. But this isn't as easy that it might be at first sight. Cheers |

Great news! Have a few Amiga 500s and I think the case colour varies but the keys seem consistent between versions I have (made in West Germany, Made in Germany and a Philippines plus model), at least not so I can tell the difference anyway. Not checked my 2000 keyboard though so maybe thats different. |
