Hmm, that's funny... from the log:
Code:
[DISPLAY] 0: 1920x1080+0+0 @50
[DISPLAY] 1: 1680x1050+1920+0 @49
...
[DISPLAY] Host refresh rate: 60 Hz
So the 60 hz value is bogus... Btw, I noticed you ran in windowed mode, and so I tried the same. When I start in windowed mode with one monitor at 50Hz and the other at 60Hz, FS-UAE/SDL2 reports 60Hz when the window opens on the 50Hz monitor. When starting in fullscreen mode, everything works perfectly. Can you try starting in fullscreen mode and see if it works then?

With
fullscreen=1
it works. No matter if fullscreen_mode=desktop/fullscreen/window. Weird.

With my setup, one could be tempted to think that SDL2 just got confused and pulled the refresh rate from the wrong monitor. But that does not make sense in your case, since neither monitors as 60Hz. Might be a hard-coded default/dummy value when running in windowed mode? If so, that's a bit annoying! If necessary, I should be able to use window coordinates to figure out what display the window is on, and manually look up the correct refresh rate.

(Sidenote: I should probably also re-check the refresh rate when the FS-UAE window is moved, or fullscreen mode toggled, as that can influence whether I can sync or not).

Side note 2: V-Sync is really annoying to deal with, not least due to (slighly) different behavor depending on OS, GPU vendor, drivers, etc

On my main desktop I've got a G-SYNC monitor and an Nvidia card with G-SYNC. It really is one billion times better

yes, exactly, scroll on to last played game in list as well.

It sounds like that is what he meant.

I like favorite game idea, but IMHO it would help to have more options.

Here is idea, drop down list that currently allows you to change between Games and Configs, Configs, Games - be able to edit/add items to list and select games/configurations on your own.

For example, I would love to be able to have ClassicWB option there, where I have those installs, as well Regular WB, where unmodified version of OS is installed.

Question Save Config Button

Hi Frode,

first of all thank you very much for fixing all my problems so far
Now i encountered a new "strange behaviour" with the Save Config Button
in the latest 2.7.12dev portable x86 Version.
Normally it stays grey as long as you don´t change the Config.
Now it randomly let me save the configs again, without changing
anything.
This confuses me, as i make many Configs on my own.
In the older Development Releases everything went fine.

Hope this can be fixed again.

Greetings

MOZ

in addition, an import - export function for your favourite games would be very practically, too. maybe even as plain txt file keeping it simple.

so you do not have to start from zero with a new version of fs-uae

This is not an issue The favorites list (and other game lists) are stored on the oagd.net server, and will be synced to all your devices.

I will look at it, thanks for reporting!

The favorites functionality is part of a more general game list functionality, where you can have any number of game lists, and even subscribe to other users' (public) lists. Local configurations are not in the scope, yet, at least.

Nah, don't worry about public setups for pr0n and stuff... let's do local first.

A new development version has been released. Changes in FS-UAE 2.7.13dev:
  • JIT on x86-64: Handle it gracefully when 2 GB virtual memory could not be allocated (reduce size of allocation region).
  • A bit more flexible VM allocation function.
  • New option expect_version (used by FS-UAE Launcher).
  • Fixed middle mouse button ungrabbing with more than 1 keyboard joystick.
  • Remove greek translations due to missing bitmap font characters.
  • Imported updated translations from crowdin.com.
Changes in FS-UAE Launcher 2.7.13dev:
  • Show launch dialog when running configs directly from command line.
  • Show launch errors (if any) in error message box when running from cmdline.
  • Use expect_version option to verify that FS-UAE version matches.
  • Launcher can be started with a zip/lha file containing disk images [jbl007].
  • Launcher can be started with more than one floppy image path as command line arguments.
  • Launcher can be started with more than one CD-ROM image path as command line arguments (will default to CD32 model in this case).
  • Properly load last config file (if applicable) when starting.
  • Unsaved config options will no longer be restored on startup (last used game or config will be fully reloaded).
  • When using –config:key=value options, start with empty config (unless a specific config is loaded via the command line).
  • Store maximized = 0 state properly when window is unmaximized.
  • Imported updated translations from crowdin.com.

Yes, but turns out I forgot about the *stable* version, so kind of off-topic for this thread . Anyway, stable repo for xenial should also be available in a couple of hours, if not already.

I am testing Fedora 24 beta, and it seems that fs-uae does not compile (it uses gcc 6.0)

src/rommgr.cpp:519:1: error: narrowing conversion of '2147483648u' from 'unsigned int' to 'int' inside { } [-Wnarrowing]
};

There may be other incompatibilities too introduced by new gcc version?

It is fixed for the upcoming 2.7.14dev release (to be released asap)

  • A3000 chip RAM was erroneously set to 1 MB.
  • Added new languages to language selector: Esperanto, Dutch and Hungarian.
  • Imported updated translations from crowdin.com.

Compiling FS-UAE with Fedora 24 beta works now again, thanks Frode!

Now, I have question - for some reason, fs-uae starts always with English language, no matter if I run it directly from shell (where my LANG is set to fi_FI...) or from FS-UAE Launcher, which is set to use Finnish.

Works for me (but I didn't test on Fedora!). Please attach fs-uae.log.txt!
