Beast of a tower

Just seen this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amiga-4000...item35c643c7ba

Way to big for me, but did like the look's of it ..... from the front at least. A shame some seems to have made a mess of the board repair

Heard these are sought after by hardcore A3000 users.

since you have your listing as "no returns accepted" would you like to update your listing to say if there working or not?

becuase if there not working...

I didn't think these small chips really breaked.

For what it's worth, I have traded in the Amiga community before on AmiBay, and there was always an element of trust involved with the community members (someone called Kin Hell should be able to attest to my integrity over a certain DBox case).

As far as the Amiga community is concerned, no returns doesn't mean no refunds. If one of the chips doesn't work, I will compensate the person. Returns are pointless because I have no way of testing anyway.

I didn't want to put this on eBay though because someone may take advantage of that.

then wouldnt it be a good idea to put all this in the listing?

as someone will ask if there in working order,it will save you the time replying to questions over and over.

im not saying your untrustworthy, im asking if there tested and in full working order, that peice of infomation is required in any sale of components.

Just saw this, 17827 Euro for a C65:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Sehr-seltener...item3f23d02abc

Rare as it is, that's still quite a lot of money.

Why?

It's a collectible. Sure, i wouldn't pay it, but it's not like it's stopping you from playing it anyway...

700£ is way above what I've seen a boxed version in good condition go for! I know it's a rare game, but how many where sold? 100? 1000? 100.000? I just hope noone is insane enough to buy the disk for that amount!

a couple of thousands i'd guess, the 100.000 is to be overly optimistic. Even a great selling game of the day rarely pushed 100K. If i remember right one of the earlier versions of lemmings sold half a million copies... But that was over all available platforms. Great Giana Sisters were pulled from the market shortly after being released to it, and i suspect more of them were sold "under" rather then over the counter.

I wouldn't be surprised if he snipes at the end

I think the seller will pleasantly surprised by her good fortune at the end

hmmm... this is an old seller - with 36 trades - yet been on eBay nearly 10 years - I would be surprised if the seller had NOT searched eBay for commodre / Amiga / Atari ST prior to putting up their auction.

I have also noted a few chancers trying to get a buy-it-now price too

For those interested in this, I would approach this auction with caution.

I'd say it's a local pickup, and paid in person only, the offer of pallet shipping isn't one i'd pick up on. Also, the stockpile of stuffs show multiples of the same boxes, doesn't really look like some homeowners "leftbehinds" so to speak. But depending on the final price it could very well be worth a bit of work to get it home. I'm in the wrong country, so it's for someone else, and thats generally how it is.
