Okay...... so any analogue stick should work, it's just that some will have a wider range of control than others?
From what I can see, like Tornado it has in-game centre-ing control (but no proper calibration). Another game I noticed that doesn't seem to be generally recognised for supporting analogue is F117A Stealth Fighter 2.0, which is basically the updated and improved(?) version of F19 but released after the genuine article had been released, so less based on Microprose's imagination. |

Yes that part of the sentence referred to F15 II. Hence the brackets.

There is no joystick centering in Amiga F-15 II. It's fixed to 20 center, like in other old Microprose flight sims. The document scan on HoL that states "Joystick Re-center Alt-J" is from PC version.
On Amiga version it just toggles control method between keyboard/joystick/analog joystick. Last edited by Aardvark; 07 April 2024 at 10:44. |

I'm still enjoying myself with this flight-sim despite a severe lack of skill.
I just uploaded another video, this time I fall victim to an incoming SAM attack. The video starts 2 minutes out from my target - and ends shortly afterwards. I manage to take out the SAM site with an ALARM missile, but the victory is clearly their's. I would welcome any tactical advise at this point. [ Show youtube player ] |

Yes, I'm still plugging away at Tornado. :-)
I'm quite chuffed with my latest clip, it's a successful attack on a Munitions Store and Road Bridge, with some preliminary destruction of enemy air defences. I'm also using an embedder which hopefully gives me improved Amiga audio, as previously it was getting reduced in volume possibly during the SCART to HDMI conversion. Anyway, hope you like it. I've been having problems with Loft Bomb attacks. They tend to fall past the target.
I think reducing speed to 400 knots (from 550) improves things but the aircraft's computer that determines the moment of release based on the speed/height etc so it's not completely straightforward. I'm afraid the commentary is rather quiet, I'll work on that. [ Show youtube player ] |

I'm glad you're still at it (even though I don't have time to contribute myself). Great to see people are still enjoying these ancient-but-awesome games.

I just discover this topic, I'm very interested. I now have a fully working 1200 with pistorm, and currently searching for analog joystick solutions. I should be good to go in june.
