I did not read the whole thread but can this tool compute and convert images to an unique superpalette like Debabelizer?

how is this compared to using GIMP and changing to Image/Mode/Indexed, with or without a fixed palette like magic workbench colors?
Thats how ive been doing it so far, included pics of me converting from an original to a 16color MWB via gimp. Last edited by DisasterIncarna; 28 July 2022 at 20:11. |

I've tried three or more ways to convert the photo I taked. I've used Ultimate Paint in the PC and also ImageStudio on the Amiga (using Rebel's palette or also PeterK's one). I've also tried several filters, finally using Floyd-Steinberg at 85% with Retro image tool.
This is the original image, the photo I taked for 800x600. Yep, it's a beautiful one and the flower looks like drawn: https://mega.nz/file/SYE1yarZ#j0exc5...XHl3HPu-NxKGgE I think it's impossible to get a better 16 colors image for my 16C palette. Edit: And I only can laugh when I read what "TrueColor" means, while I'm using just 16 colors: "This allows for 16,777,216 (16.7 million) possible colors for each pixel. The reason that it is called truecolor or true color is because it is approximately the number of colors that the human eye can detect. True color images are sometimes represented by 32-bit-per-pixel values." Last edited by Retrofan; 28 July 2022 at 20:31. |

I've decided to take up the challenge of making an A500 scrolling platform game in HAM mode.
Obviously I'm trying to find the best set of tools for converting the graphics, I've tried this tool but rather than an .iff file I get a .spu file... what's going on there then? |

HAM as an output format is not being supported yet.
