At Vesalia http://www.vesalia.de/e_indivisionaga4000d.htm there are some photos of the Indivision 4000D. If it will be available on march, surely the one for A1200 will be too ¿?
Indivision AGA 4000D/CD32 Flickerfixer for Amiga 4000 and CD32 The Indivision AGA 4000D shown in the picture is a prototype board, the actual product available in March will be blue instead of white. What color the Indivision MKII is going to be? Blue? In white they match with my new ACA1230/56... Last edited by Retrofan; 19 December 2010 at 15:17. |

No, it's a valid question.. Oliver from Individual Computers thought so, and answered that exact question by saying:

So, the question is, with the new accelerator and the IndiECS, could it be increased... Oliver thinks, maybe.. ;-) desiv Last edited by desiv; 19 December 2010 at 02:14. |

Almost correct.
Indivision ECS does have Graffitti emulation, but it doesn't make sense, since on ECS, Grafitti is VERY SLOW and works only in 320x resolutions. That's why Indivision ECS has its own new graphics core, which allows direct writes into the chunky framebuffer of the flickerfixer at full speed, without chipset interference. Not only is this very fast, but resolutions up to 1024x768 in 8 bit or 16 bit (downconverted to 12 bit) are possible. This core has nothing to do with the native Amiga display, it's a core which turns Indivision ECS into a very small graphics card, capable of Zorro II speed, with native chunky graphics support. So Cammy has not only realized what Indivision ECS can do, but also anticipated my intentions what to do with it. Last edited by Oliver_A; 19 December 2010 at 21:38. |

Somehow I have missed the info that new revision of A1200 scandoubler will maybe be faster in HighGFX at 256 colors.
Current version is very usable at 1024x768 with 8 to 16 colors (or highres with 32-64 color WB) with 060 IMHO. Can you estimate roughly how much faster the rev 2 will be at 800x600 or 1024x768 full 256 colors... I am considering upgrading if it is a bit faster I currently run 32 color background in 64 color high-res WB and it is very fast with 060 IMHO, check it out -> [ Show youtube player ] |

Speed is limited by the chipset.
Indivision is only able to display given data. And this has to be done by the amiga-chipset. |

Well, Jens said the A500 ACA will be after the MK 2, and unless I mis read the message, the A500 ACA was said to be late march 2011. so...

Yes, I hope March.
Would like to know if the prize will be the previously stimated after the problems they had with the prizes of the ACA630 |

Hiya Jens,
I'm currently building a new 1200 for the Mrk2, any chance of some prototype pics so I can see how it will all fit together. If not can, you confirm that it will roughly be the same physical size as the Mrk1? Thanks |

It'll be a bit smaller than the first version, because I want it to fit in the A4000T. My physical model currently looks like this (green board was a prototype of the first version).

I would love to see the DCTV or Graffitti display make a come back for Classic Amiga game animations. I don't know why more programmers did not use DCTV or Graffitti to get more colorful games back when both display devices were first released. Of course if Oliver can get us a fast chunky display from our ECS Indivisions with 8bit or 12bit color depth, that might be a better solution. Any news to tell about your progress Oliver? |

I think it's all very exciting and was one of the big things missing from the first Indivision AGA IMHO. There's a whole load of games that would benefit from a Graffiti mode when this comes out and I'll be happy to do some of the updates
Come get some! (clue) |
