Yes it does, and big clunky spinning disk are out, and I do not see the point in using SSDs on Amiga systems. 32GB SDHC cards are cheap and plenty fast. Who need more than 32GB on classic Amiga, and what for?

CDrom's would be the only reason I would use sata, if we had a SDHC adapter that was hot pluggable, it would be awesome. And no need for a CDrom.

If you can read german, then you can read that Jens was waiting for the last part (PGA-socket) for the cards. I hope he has them now. A little more patience guys

Okay, if it WOULD NOT be bellow the christmas tree, the world will not fail. I understand the delay, especially now when the Europe is under the snow.

Later this week, yes. Traffic in Germany is a bit difficult with all this snow, I've lost a couple of hours yesterday and had to end the wave-soldering at some point. Went to bed around 6:00am this morning.

Yes good night, sleep and have good dreams like mines: or ACA or Indivisins jumping like sheeps over fences... (Am I going crazy?)

And talking of dreams, i had one of those nightmarish ones when you wake up in horror. My accelerator arrived and after i had installed it, i turned it on only for loads of smoke to start bellowing out of all the A1200's vents.Didn't get a chance to find out if it worked because i woke up at that point. The realisation that it's only a dream is always nice

Predseda: yeah that's smart. Not sure what i'd like as wrapping paper really.WB perhaps would be cool

What adapter do you use? The SD/IDE adapter I use will only work up to 8GB SDHC.

ACA630 thermal tests successful

Hi guys,

we've finished the thermal tests of the ACA630: No need for active cooling and no need to remove the drive! (well, if you can live without Indivision ECS).

The good news is that the temperature stayed low enough to offer a slightly faster version of the ACA630:

ACA630 is also available with 30MHz and 64M ram.

We're keeping the temperature low by under-clocking a 33MHz CPU (with full MMU) to 30MHz. The memory controller was kept at the same pace with a 2-1-1-1 burst, so the speedup over the 25MHz version is really linear. Sysinfo shows
7.24 MIPS / 6936 Dhrystones. The price is slightly higher at 199,- EUR (compared to 159,- EUR for the 25MHz / 32MByte version).

Both versions (25 and 30MHz) will ship early next week. If you want to change your pre-order with your reseller, there's enough time to do so. Those who have already ordered may be contacted by their resellers, giving the option to upgrade.

To
make your decision a little easier, I have added the AIBB module of the 30MHz version.

Jens
