Zetr0 raises a good point, we speak English, in Europe they speak all kinds of stuff.

I think the deciding factor here is which country has the most EAB members in who would go, its no good having everyone vote for France when only 2 can go there.

i think the polls is going to reflect just that.

when everybody has voted you could take a weighted average (weight is amount of people wanting to go to a specific location) and have the meeting there. Might be in the middle of nowhere though (like in the middle of the canal )

I´m sure it´s the U.K. then.

I´m from Germany but voted for France - near Calais (U.K. - near Dover is almost the same) because it seems to be the nearest place for almost every (West) European.

I had a car trip in mind. Going by airplane makes a difference, for sure.

Maybe this thread (with the world's biggest poll, ever) is useful? Quite a good guide to where everyone is from which could be helpful.

Well if it shouldn't be in Denmark I would love to go to Belgium, they make the best beer

oh sorry back to topic. The place should be near an international airport, where those cheap airlines go
Maybe the poll should be something like
In which Country would you choose to visit for an EAB meeting (and we should be able to make more than one vote ) That would give an idea where the best place would be.

I will only share room with Paul_s

I'm bunking up with Zetr0.

I think what i'm trying to say is even if all the UK members wanted to go, how many UK members would travel to another country?

I'd be up for this but I might start to cry as talking about the beloved Amiga is like making love to a beautiful woman

I'm taking BinoX home too with his Amiga collection, I want to hug everything

Dizzy, room share is no problem, just don't pinch all the sheets! Zetr0 is going to join us too - he just PM'd me in his 1980's boxers

:runs away from Zetr0 and his hot soldering iron:

We could smuggle Graham out via the EAB speedboat* sponsered by Amiga Inc.

*currently on loan and Bill McEwen probably never paid the 1st installment.

while it is a fact that travel for me is out of the question I see No reason that I cannot support a meeting in 2008 perhaps a donnation fund should be set up for those in a similar postion as myself to ensure there is more to look forward to at the meeting than "Coffee ,Tea & Biscuits "

Maybe if enough funds were raised then a meeting hall/room could be arranged somewhere?

Scout Halls etc. are dirt cheap to rent for a weekend here.
