Good spotting I've updated the description on the site.
I can't explain why it's 68000 incompatible. I presume there's some function or another in the bytecode that was written with more powerful processors than a 68K in mind.. something to do with 16bit vs 32bit? |

I've patched it for 68000 support - it's not terribly smooth on WinUAE A500 settings but at least it's playable. Patched copy is in the zone, if there's no bug reports I'll publish to my own site in a day or so.
Edit: If a mod sees this, can they please change the name of the thread to 'Another World - The Lost Level' cheers |

I wonder if there would be possible to make the lost level as whole game under whdload. In version 2.7 all files are unpacked.

I was thinking about this the other day. It could be possible, maybe a fair bit of work, particularly if copy protection is to be removed. My memory is a bit fuzzy but one thing I couldn't solve is the screen became distorted whenever it scrolled up and down (as opposed to snapping from one screen to the next)
I ended up patching it so that it wouldn't shake the screen when you fell from a high distance (which was only one place in the lost levels) but a full port would definitely need to solve that problem, particularly with the elevators. |

Thanks! Great work!
I wish someone would modify all of the earlier PC MS-DOS games that are graphically superior that only have crappy speaker sound effects and replace them with sound effects from the Atari or Amiga versions. That would be great. I live in hope. |

Speaker? AW supported SB cards. Who didn't have them then he was able to hear only speaker farts.

Well, PC version came after Amiga and after reception that game is a little too short. In the current times developer could just create patch to fix the shortness but in that times the game on market closed way for additional fixes. I wish Eric could make better version for Delphine Classic collection, which also is unprotected by default but he didn't. And collection were probably released without noticing him. If Eric is still available online we could just ask him about the possibility to adapt PC levels to Amiga. Maybe its too different to make it as whole game.

I agree that a full custom WHDLoad merging retail+lost level would be great! A sort of Definitive edition.
