My very first PC is back from the dead! It's an IBM PS/1 486DX2 66MHz, and I'm enjoying it right now like I used to when I bought it, back in September 1993!

I got my first PC around the same time; it really was the one on your receipt, except it was just a generic, no-name build from an indie computer shop. Looking back I don't feel any nostalgia towards it at all. Some for most of the DOS games you mentioned, but still, the difference between Amiga and the era of the boring beige box is like night and day. Really interesting video all the same, thanks.

This was my first contact with the fictional universe of Middle Earth created by J. R. R. Tolkien, back in 1989, and was designed by late Mike Singleton (1951-2012), who is considered the father of home computer gaming.

Spanish publisher ERBE Software fought, in late 80s, a huge battle against piracy drastically reducing the prices of original games. At a certain point, in 1985, created their own branch for software development to separate it from the main publishing business. So, TOPO Soft was born.
Let's take a look at how this all happened! TOPO Soft and ERBE Software in the Golden Age of Spanish Video Games - It's a Pixel THING - Ep.#49 [ Show youtube player ] |

July of 1985 was when it all began for the Amiga family of computers. It was so ahead of its time that everyone seemed to have a problem to categorize it, even Commodore!
Regardless of the model of the Amiga, here's the 26 video games that, even today, I still relish playing on my Amiga! Enjoy! Celebrating 30 Years of the Amiga: My Top 26 Games - It's a Pixel THING - Ep.#52 [ Show youtube player ] |

Should be 30 instead of 26. And the Frontier intro seems to be a bit suspicious - I dont remember textures in Amiga version

As for the Frontier's intro shown, that one is from the DOS version that I continued to play after I moved to IBM PCs. The game was out in October of 1993, exactly when I bought my first IBM For any reason, I just couldn't capture footage from the Amiga version to be featured in my video, so I had to find a solution, and that solution was using the DOS version. Sorry for that... Cheers and thanks for watching! P.S.: What's about the number 26?? Is a number like any other! P.S.2: Download and play the DOS version (using dosbox) from here: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/fr...i-22i#download |

You're right. Probably 30 would be "the" number, but I didn't want to make it all around the thirty. I just like things to go a bit off course, you know what i mean? Life must be on rails, this doesn't!
