CacheControl() did not change. It still takes the same bits as it always did. You can control data and instruction caches on or off. Essentially, it is using the bit assignment the 68030 used, and emulates these bits on all other processors. CacheControl() cannot modify the branch cache settings. Use the CPU command for that.
Thanks for your quick reply. So it seems that there was more changed "behind the scenes" than directly at the library function inputs.

BTW: You all did a great job to make this updated OS release come true. Many thanks for that.

Installed a Disk on Module and installs OS 3.1.4 via existing floppy drive. It's a nice upgrade and I hope to see more updates like this. I just used my Kryflux to create ADFs of these so I'll be able to install this in the future now that I've removed my floppy drive and reaplced it with an hxc 2001.

The kickstart ROM comes with a sticker and a serial number. You can use this serial number to register your copy at Hyperion, and with that registration, you can download a digital copy from Hyperion.

You can make update from a previous os 3.9? Or you need to delete everything and begin with fresh install?

You can copy over whatever files you want updated from the OS 3.1.4 floppies.

Note - I tried to register my copy of OS 3.1.4, but since their web site insists on http and the https part is just utterly broken, I find no way to change password or whatever over https.

This whole endeavour is just too encumbered by amateurish nonsense from A to Z... should I really bother to contact Hyperion about this?

You could just use a password exclusively for Hyperion if you're concerned and maybe a 'junk' email account.

Ah, so customers must resort to silly work-arounds? Just so that Hyperion can continue with the nonsense?
It should be in Hyperion's interest that customer information is treated safely and in accordance with GDPR.... but hey, what can you expect from a company run by a lawyer and amateurs.

Because there is just so much BS going on with anything that involves Hyperion, and apparently one is supposed to bend over and let anything go, or else one is "a hater"? Well, not me.

Why can't they just do things right, so that there would not be so much to complain about??

Ive just installed my roms and had a go of the cf card they built. its a 32GB jobby and theyve partitioned it really weirdly AND used FFS as the file system. If I delete the partitions and format it with pfs3aio do i need to change anything in HDToolbox?

To re-partition and format with pfs3aio you pretty much need to change things with HDToolBox, yes.

Yes, you need to add the pfs3aio filesystem to the RDB and set the partitions to use that filesystem, all in HDToolBox.

do i need to change the mask?
Ive booted off the floppy provided by whoever I bought it from (I cant remember who) and its got errors so I cant boot off it. Why do european sellers do this? I thought I bought it from Amiga.net.pl but its not in my history nor amigakits. Is there anywhere I can download the adfs?

You can buy the ADFs from Hyperion Entertainment.

In that case then, your best bet is to contact whom you purchased the floppies from and report that they're faulty.

+1 & it would be a surprise if they won't exchange faulty disks.
