Yes... but not difficult. Pads are massive in comparison to other console mods lol.

Saw a vid suggesting shorts on the USB ports would stop boot

Stuck a USB stick in them = Bingo !

XBox One controllers (even clones) should work out of the box (at least with Windows 10/11). Did you try it without the driver?

Yep, nothing protocol special ~ I bought an Apower controller as well, works OOTB on linux (xpad.ko) ... (sometimes it's worth hacking that driver, OT here..)

Got 2 of these, NOS .... one for the bigbox A500 I've yet to build, the other for the V66M slot-1 mobo... which being an Aptiva has a hardcoded BIOS that errors out without a PS/2 pointing device connected...

Packard Bell M3870 AIO

Creative Cambridge Sound Soundworks speakers - VERY impressed by the clarity of these speakers at full volume without distortion or crackling!

4G Mi-Fi router

Wifi dongle 5GHz at AC1200

Microsoft Bluetooth mouse

Magnison wifi repeater (allows access point, repeater and client modes) which has a single ethernet socket as well! This will be perfect for my Amiga and PS2 since they both have ethernet and no hassle with complex security settings.

Disney Infinity gaming Dock and characters (Xbox 360 and PS4)

Some BT wifi dongle

Several board games and books...

A busy day of purchases. Now I know how @Nobby_UK feels! Lol

OK, i ordered it about 11 months ago.
Paid for it a couple of weeks ago.
Got it yesterday.

Drawbridge slimline card/cable to go inside the spare USB floppy drive I already had...

It was pretty easy to put together and worked right away.

Even booted Tetris off of an Amiga floppy in Winuae with it with no issues. (Not that Tetris would be a tough test... Probably should have tried Dragon's Lair or something as a tougher test, but I had Tetris handy... ;-)

Now I need to make some type of sticker for that drive so I don't confuse it with my other USB floppy and freak out when I can't read MSDOS formatted floppies with it. ;-)

Fixed via a 9 year old Utube video

The update needed is specific
and indicated by the second batch of 4 hex digits
converted to decimal.
