I've been having issues with the account.
I did a bit of testing last night (with the help of catflap) and unfortunately the server keeps cancelling downloads before they are completed resulting in incomplete zip files I've stopped uploading while I sort this as it's pointless otherwise. Seems the files download correctly when I link to them directly but when I go through the download system on the site they suffer the above issues. Anyone else use Joomla and had similar issues? |

The same level of control has only Remository. Is that problem with small and large files too?
Please, make a screenshot of your phpinfo (in administration system/System Info/PHP Info). Can be a problem on server side. |

I can download files with no probs without going through Joomla so I feel it's gotta be a php issue somewhere
I tried Remository but it doesn't offer the same level of control over users access rights, docman has this down to a T. (Even if it is awkward to setup ) Give me a bit and I'll post phpinfo The problem is only large files, it seems as though the php might have a set timeout or something. |

Try this component Leech. I use it ony my portal - demo. Its very simple, without statistics, without text.. But working 100%.

Any parts of phpinfo in particular?
EDIT: safe mode is off yeah EDIT: Yep, it is indeed using IIS so that could be the issue. How would I go about fixing it? Last edited by killergorilla; 02 February 2007 at 13:02. |

From Docman forum:
It starts downloading as usual. When it gets to 8.3Mb it comes up with download complete. I have tried it with 4 files ranging from 10Mb to 40Mb - it stalls at exactly the same point on all of them. Looks to me like there is a limit being set somewhere. I'm running on Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6.0. Finally found the solution to this There is a setting hidden within the registry fucntion for IIS6 for cgi timeout - the default value is 300 (seconds). This parameter can only be accessed via the 'metabase explorer' tool (comes as part of the IIS6 resource toolkit) - even my IIS expert wasn't aware of it. I also had to change the max_execution_time parameter within php.ini to '= 0' (which effectively disables it). Of course, on IIS servers, cgi.force_redirect needs to be set to '= 0'. Hope this helps someone. Hello...was having the same problem and mi Service provider has applied he solution above, and everithing is ok now...so for IIS, just look a this post. |

I don't plan on restricting access to anyone, after all we all make mistakes
But I do plan on giving priveleged access rights to others.... |
