It was Napalm, TFX and Genetic Species for me in that order.

Oh, and Slam Tilt!! A very very special AGA Pinball game that blew the Dice games out of the water!

Everyone has different tastes. That makes this thread a dead end. I personnaly think that Capital Punishment is a very ugly game.

It is all about personal taste, there are games with simple graphics and no special effects that I love to play. There are games with colourful graphics and games with simple graphics but with great special effects. Some games look standard on picture but in movement You see lot of technical genius.

Yup. In this vein, I will just risk re-stating that I consider Lionheart one of the ugliest games I've ever come across. Before everybody lynches me, I don't challenge the technical mastery behind. The artistic style is, however, truly awful in my view.

I think any 'best' thread is flawed like that.

For me it's Gods (Mark Coleman) who also did Xenon2
Great character design, animations and drawing style. Not much info about him on the web I could find, but he would be around 66 years old now as of 2023. Last edited by Jgames; 07 January 2023 at 23:49. |
