About the slot machine: I can use the Lemon as indicator when to press fire to get the 1st grapes symbol, but that doesn't work for the 2nd icon. What do you use as signal?

Celtic Heart 1st : lemon 2nd : cherry (the hardest to see as it's in between some fruits of the same colour - so you need your eyes wide open ) 3rd : banana |

Yeah well, at least want to get a somewhat decent score here before I return to Celtic Heart.
Okay, lemon-cherry-banana...thank you! |

You are welcome.
Now, to train the slot machine, you only have to get many coins while playing |

I know. Sometimes I get 120 coins after 1 round. But nothing came of it until now.

Same here.
Many unknowns in the functioning of this game. Having the original manual would (maybe) help... |

54,787 x 2 = 109,574 Rescued 6/11. Can't really see the cherry when the wheels are moving so I now use the lemon for all three pics. In the middle I just wait a while after the lemon appears. On the right side the lemon comes right before the banana so it's not much difference to the left side. Wasn't successful often but got a few points. |

82,676 x 2 = 165,352 That's enough for me. Don't know how you get 400k+ scores. |

Impressive play John. When the Scruff Lees appear and the dance music starts pumping, its easy to lose it and panic. That was a tough battle and fun to watch. Seems like you got the hang of the fruits.

Thank you Dan, not consistent enough on the slot machine though.

Ok, gave the game a go on Winuae and AGA version. Played on normal.
On AGA version the AI is clearly better... I even saw a "FROG" Ai (Puyo Puyo players will know) which I hadn't seen on the ECS one. And the game runs a *lot* faster, though I still got a few slowdowns when many blobs were eliminated at once. Still feel the blobs take too long to dissapear when you are chaining and power ups aren't really a good idea on this game, but overall is indeed a very nice Puyo Puyo clone. Now how the hell are people scoring 200k points on this? I got 30 to 50 coins on every stage up until the last 4, where I got just 12-14 (the last one gave me just 4 coins, lol). And I got the grapes a very fair amount of times. But even if I had gotten them ALL of the times, I wouldn't have such a high score. Just to be sure, when the rules say "(including score leeching)", we are saying I can't keep getting 3 bananas on the slot machine so I keep get extra coins so I could basically stay on the slot machine forever and get 3 grapes as long as I wanted, right? Did you guys really figured out how the coin-giving happens? Because I am really puzzled. Last edited by Shatterhand; 29 October 2019 at 01:04. |

Unfortunately we don't know.
By the way, yesterday I gave a go to try to beat rexsu (failed ) but got on some levels up to 190 coins. |

I'm also a bit clueless how rexsu and malko manage to amass such scores. |

With 3 bananas you get 20 coins. Not worth it in my point of view.

If you can manage to do it consistently (and I can't), you could stay on the slot machine forever. The devs surely didn't gave the score system a proper thought, hehe If I get some free time I'll give a go at the hard level. I am not that interested on the competition (I don't think I'll be able to beat the bigger scores and I don't see myself keep going on the yearly competition), but I really love Puyo Puyo so I want to give this game a little more time Quote:
