@Starglider 2 - are you looking at repairing that A4000? Maybe a lot of work but potentially the corroded area is isolated to a small segment. Check continuity and then look at reconnecting the points that have lost connectivity. I use Kynar wire for this as its thin and pliable but at the same time flexible. I've used it for console modding in the past and when I had repaired damaged tracks due to burnt solder points.
