I'm with Codetapper on this one, forget trying to improve the lamentable Amiga version, nothing but a rewrite would suffice, and as other games on the Amiga have proved, a near arcade perfect conversion should be plenty capable for the Amiga.

Lotus 2 is far more technical with its undulating road surfaces, Outrun from memory is flat for the most part.

Can you (or anyone else) name an example? The arcade conversions I've played were all pretty sub-par to be honest, now I'm wondering what I've missed.

I think Super Monaco GP is better on Amiga http://hol.abime.net/2197 Less annoying sounds and less things on sides of road.

Although the intro music from Super Hang On is one of my favourite Amiga tunes, the game sucks. The framerate is terrible and it's not fullscreen. The Megadrive version is far superior.

I don't think that the Mega Drive version ist far superior. Maybe a better frame rate, but the awesome Amiga mouse controls beats the MD version easily.

Edit: Just played the MD version after some years via Flash Cart. Clearly not better than the Amiga port. Slightly better graphics, full screen (most MD games are true NTSC games anyway) and an enhanced game mode. The speed feeling, music and controls are better on the Amiga.
