I Googled the author and found he was also credited with Aegis Animator, for Amiga. So he seemed to have gotten over the off-putting disk-error problems he mentioned at the end of the clip.

EDIT: Googling further, I find Aegis Animator for ST came out in 1987, after his Amiga Aegis Animator. Cyberpaint came after, dating from the 1989 TV clip. Atari users got the best of Kent's work, it would seem.

Finally some sense!

But to be honest seeing the original video from the program Cyber Paint i don't see where there is superiority in functions and ease of use comparing to a program that was used extensively by Disney Studios:

As far as I am concerned, the ST and Amiga are both Atari machines anyway.

Fred, you've lost it here.
This software or the gfx capabilities of an ST are in NO WAY superior to an Amiga+DeluxePaint combo.

That user interface is TERRIBle. look at it.

Hippie says "the advantage of this over the Amiga is that it tends to be more reliable", you can note in his voice tone and his look that he's making up bullshit xD He lost so many floppy disks? And the ST doesn't use same floppies?

DAyum, this is a loss for the Atari team.

I really wish that was true, but they refuse to take my advice and change the name to English Emulation Board. Until such time this is an Amiga specific computing site... NOT a freaking retro haven a bunch of you make it out to be... LOL

And instead of support the Amiga as it continues to evolve they scream Death instead... really, if the name isn't changed soon, even the people using this site with this outlook are going to wonder why it carries the Amiga Flag so proudly... it's got me F'd I tell ya...

as for the ST Paint program even being compariable to Amiga and it's alternatives... yikes... It isn't even worth replying to but I piddybacked it cos it's the topic

KLx ol buddy, I really started this thread with tongue in cheek. In almost every way, the Amiga OS and Hardware, whether the Amiga 500, 1200 or 3000, was superior to any Atari St. This is not counting the Falcon, of course.
But it is nice to see what competition was hurled at the Amiga during those days!
