Tested. Bug is still present.

Some correction about bug after more testing:
After cold boot from HDD with FDD ejected, i need to activate any slot being in workbench. Then eject. Then after next reboot i will be able activate any slot and use FDD.

May be some variable is not initialized properly when "eject on power on" feature activated?

So my question to Jeff is if I put images in 500 + tracks now (since this latest alpha looks rather good to me) will I have to re-do it when you come with another firmware release later on? I guess if I have to change the autoboot file or cfg file I have to redo the whole thing. Also are you working on a program where I can assign images to tracks in windows? (think I saw something earlier in this thread). Or maybe you already have softwar for that?

I really enjoy eject on power on feature. I will do some more tests in different cases and will check if there any other problems.

By the way, I want to have an option for FDD step sound like SD HxC emulator. There are 2 unused pins on I2C 6-pin connector. Can you add an option to connect similar speaker/buzzer as on SD emulator?
Since you already have working code, it shouldn't be hard to add it to Gotek.
I know, there are couple of sound mods for Gotek, but the quality of sound is very bad. It's very quiet on single steps and very loud on far steps. I like the quality of sound on SD emulator, and would love to get it on Gotek as well. Especially i can enable/disable it from Autoboot.hfe config menu.
It's not a problem to solder any circuit for me, so if you are willing to add it and provide instructions what to solder, then i would glad to make it and test.

Or, if you don't mind then publish the sound part of your code, so ii can re-implement it in add-on using PIC MCU or similar. I'm curious what kind of sound parameters you've used to have stable audio volume.

Is there a plan to add exFAT support? Couple years ago exFAT full source code were leaked and then re-released officially later. It's fully working and used in many smartphones, so it's 100% stable.

Important note : The HXCFEMNG executable can't be executed/launched from the usb drive itself. So the exe file must on another drive.

Some kind of read error. It just showed the error very shortly before it closed. I ran it from the C:\HXC as I read in your text file it should not be run from the USB drive. I can try and check exactly what the error message said later on
