You could also try searching through the resource that Galaxy posted in another thread:

I was looking for a game similar to this but found out it was Emerald Mine
Although I think the one you may be referring to is Dig Dug. Because you said it had horrible sound.

Hmmm, unfortunately the arcade classic Dig Dug was never released on the Amiga

The closest thing is Digger

I realise you were looking for this over 6 months ago and have possible found it already but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents because I think I know what game you were looking for--because I was looking for it too!

When I was very young my brother got it as a free full game from a magazine cover, and since it was obviously freeware it was a pain to hunt down!

But I *think* this is the game you were looking for anyway... it was called Cave Runner.

Human head?
Well, we Germans do doubt whether WERNER is human

But maybe it was indeed Flaschbier?

The opening screen was almost exactly like that, though.

The graphics were pretty "realistic", but boring. The player's head looked reasonable, as did the rocks, but everything was gray, brown, black, or pale flesh-tone.
My goodness, this thread was nearly 4 years ago... how time flies... I remember responding to it like it was yesterday! But I saw the following response, and can't believe I forgot to point out that the sequel to Rockman, The Return Of Rockman, has an almost identical colour palette to that described.

It doesn't have the cycling colour title screen which you thought was familiar however... it does have the same Novaload routine though?
