Eeeh.. fuck it. I've zoned the whole lot. The google doc I posted on the last page has notes about which have source, which have already been released, which I've made a couple of patches to etc.
But please bear in mind that none of these games have had approval by their original authors for public release, so (other than obviously the ones that are already online) they're definitely NOT for Aminet etc. It's certainly worth tracking down the original authors to see if there are more complete editions of these games. At least a couple advertised that they were demo/shareware editions (Crystal Kingdoms and Mr Zen at least). One remarkably still has a live webpage advertising the game - http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/ants/pyromid.html Did someone else want to take over making the videos then? |

Think it is safe to upload these games.
I took a quick look and found these interesting: (so will do longplays of them). Derring-Do ... Not the best game in the world. But this was on the cover disks of Amiga Format and Amiga Power. So this is maybe even worth adding to HOL. Doctor Strange ... There is a longplay of Doctor Strange 2, but only shortplays of this one. Both games already in HOL. Robo Tastic ... Below average, but will play anyway. Wriggly II ... The Amiga version of a C64 game! Pyro-Mid ... No comment. Not sure yet: Crystal Kingdoms ... I normally do not do longplays of demo versions of games. But this one is quite interesting, so will make one exception here. Yerop ... No sound? Mr. Zen ... Have not figured out how to play yet. Spaceman ... The character is stuck so you can not move. Emulation issue? AppleJack and Cyberdroid are the better games in the archive. But there are already videos of these games. Have tried to track down the author of Crystal Kingdoms with no luck. Already lost interest? You should ask Per-Ola Eriksson, s2325 or petsasjim1. These people upload shortplay videos. If Spaceman is Lunar Jetman remake it may require ZX-Spectrum style controls (QAOP).

I've created a bootable ADF of Crystal Kingdoms for anyone who wants to play it. It's in the Zone now.

Oooh, this looks coolio also
...sort of reminds me of System-4: Mister Tengus Adventure (which I created an all version .ADF of, enjoyed / finished and took screenshots for HOL) Need to give this a try when I'm back from holidays Last edited by DamienD; 20 October 2017 at 01:15. |

Thanks, it works now (kinda). Now there is another problem:
You start with very little oxygen. So you can not complete the second level before it runs out. Complete a level or collect fruit and stuff only gives you energy. So seems you can not refill it. Have I missed something or is the game bugged? The BB source is available, so guess it can be fixed easily? Funny sounds in this game |

Hmm.. I was able to complete the second level, though didn't get past the third level. The third level has oxygen molecules you can pick up (two blue circles next to each other).

Tried again and yes it is possible to finish second level in the last second. Now I played to level 9 but could not complete this level. When enter a screen I got stuck in the air (a similar problem that was with your first upload). So another broken file or is the level bugged? Uploaded a video of the problem:
[ Show youtube player ] And isn't this game run a bit too fast? I use 68000 CPU and I can not get it run slower. Last edited by hipoonios; 20 October 2017 at 23:50. |

Yeah wow, the game runs way too fast
Possibly down to settings? What are you using exactly; have you tried numerous variations? I would try things myself but am still on holiday and without my laptop (schoolboy error)... ...and getting stuck on level 9; gotta be a corrupt file or bug (hopefully the former) |

A500 with 68000 CPU and some fast ram. Let me know if you can get it run in slower speed...
Anyway, tried two more games from earok's archive and noticed: The Unusual Case of Dr. Strange: The levels differ from the TOSEC version and there are no torches on the walls and stuff. Think this is an earlier version. The TOSEC version is named v.1.1, so can it be that this is v1.0? TOSEC release to the left: Sound the Space Cadet: Again, not the same as the TOSEC version. This version has a different panel and only 15 levels (TOSEC version has 20). But this one is more colorful (copper/gradient background) and have another tileset. I'm not sure, but think this is an earlier version. Too bad the author decided to remove it in the later version then. TOSEC release to the left: |

Your ADF with fixed IntroText.data uploaded to The Zone: Crystal Kingdoms (fixed IntroText.data).adf I also uploaded ADF's of: Pyro-Mid, Robo-Tastic and Spaceman. Pyro-Mid requires Kickstart 2.x while Robo-Tastic and Spaceman works fine on Kickstart 1.3/512kb. Last edited by hipoonios; 22 October 2017 at 10:20. |

Some good news!
I have permission from Mike Cooper to release Mr Zen personally. Though I'm also waiting for confirmation that the game is considered open source source code can be open sourced. (He actually messaged me about this early in the month, but due to Facebook filtering I didn't see it until just now) @Hipoonios, I could have another look if you're not sure how to play Mr Zen, but from memory the first level of the game was a hub system of sorts and you could enter computers (or something else.. not sure) to access the levels in the game. Edit: Just for confirmation, Mr Zen is all good to go for both public release and open source (I'll publish it to my own Github account later today) Last edited by earok; 22 October 2017 at 23:54. |
