I always dreamed of having a Video Toaster since NewTek came and demo'ed an alpha version of it at a Westchester Amiga User Group meeting in December 1990. I finally got one and am going to play around with it live on my Twitch channel tomorrow. It will be wild. The stream is at 2pm EDT/6pm UTC if you are around and want to check it out. We change to daylight savings tomorrow in New York City so if you are a regular to my streams the time may be an hour different than usual.

Thanks! I am really lucky to have it and will do right by it. However, I wish the person who gave it to me was able to keep it and enjoy it. They passed it on to be due to health reasons :-( I can't use it all so I am getting what I can't use or already have into the hands of people who need/want it. I got the Toaster up and running, after some troubleshooting my friend got the A1000 working, and I got an Atari ST guy hooked on the A2500

Great video! I never knew what a toaster was for, lots of talk on it but never really Google'd its use. This device was incredibly affordable considering the price of other hardware at the time to render the same effects.

Thanks for the kind words guys and @Pyromania I don't mind at all. Thanks for sharing. I am very flattered to be in such great company. I will make more Toaster videos. Many folks wanted to see the final render of the Amiga logo (which I never finished, LOL) so I may make a mini episode this week while I am home on lockdown here in NY.

If you’re interested I can dig up the first 3rd party product I developed for the Amiga Video Toaster. It’s a two CD-ROM fire and smoke effects product called Pyromania. If I can find it I’ll send it to you for free. That would give you more effects to play with on your Toaster.

I also watched the video and I like it, need more of those.
We need to make a research how to get ScreamerNet working, so we can speedup rendering time on Windows machine.
