It will just work fine but loose the time when you switch the power off.

thanks alexh, and what about the expansion card,, is the AMRAM-16 type (and not A501)
with out battery working?

the same thing, the timer chip will just reset without any power to it.

you can replace the battery with a standard pc battery holder and a diode between the +v line

a pc battery would last about 3 years.

I'm very interested in the whole chassis (without metal shield)... Not the protection case, but... you know, the grey amiga chassis!

Any chance you can give it to me? If so, can you screw it together before you send it? This is for safety reasons, as those A500 cases break just by looking at it

On Workbench desktop the extra ram do not showing.. (0 other memory) fault ram or ?

Yes, but same.. i clean board well,i check all lines looks good,switch check ok,testing with a 3V PC battery, same,
test same pins of all memory chip with multimeter looks same voltage from (3v bat on board)..
i try 1.3 WB,2.04, same.. (other mem 0)

my A500plus has 1mb ram on motherboard and working fine, with or with out this ram expansion..
Truth i donot check yet the place near to slot board A500.. what other can i do ?

i think the Thread looks like starting in the wrong session .. (Dead A500+) that was deceived me from the beginning..
can be move or split on hardware session from moderator.. and sorry for extra work..

I sent smoorke a PM a little while back (sending him a spare A600) alas he hasn't got back to me yet.

Alas if memory serves I think he mentioned that he would be busy for a week or so... vacation perhaps?
