But... it was "almost ready" in 2006! Damn... I know, but that one looked sooo professional... Last edited by Graham Humphrey; 09 January 2009 at 07:51. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged - use the multiquote button :) |

I am not sure about the whole story, but they were produced and some fault were discovered in the first batch. Some chips need re-programming or something like that and jens never got around to doing that.

We'll see if someone else cooks up something for the A600. There is demand, that's for sure |

I also have been contacting that russian guy for months with question about payment for his memory boards, but he doesn't communicate. Recently he authorised me on ICQ, but doesn't reply to my questions. I alredy gave up and my last hope would be Jens, if he has only have enough powers to finish his boards... I would be happy pay for them.

Someone very skilled here could fix them for him/us? (I'm not entirely serious, obviously, but let's hope...) |

Spose it depends on the demand, bit like minimig. That wasnt build/released until there was mass threads with people wanting 1.

in reguard to Jens 030 for the A600, I was lead to believe it was a stability issue with the card? and he put it on the back burner to claim some cash back from other jobs.
but you can never keep a good Jens down (or away from Amiga's) as he went back with the Clone A, I believe a side-step of his research went into the indivision card. as another note, I am toying at the end of the month to do a BATCH order of these A600 8mb cards as I need two of them, but this will be when funds are here as I have school books to buy |

Perhaps the cost of find out the flaws, and then apply the solution to all the boards he has, would/will be less than produce another batch (and trash the defective cards) ? |

As discussed earlier, count me in, too! But I'm sure you're creating a separate thread for that!

Hi Zetr0! I'm really interested in getting four 2MB Chip upgrades and four of those Russian 8MB Fast RAM boards too! Are you up to the challenge? I can pay through Paypal in advance, any time you're ready, if you want. I hope you do!
I don't have four A600s myself though, I only have one, but I know two other local Amiga people with them who could bring those dusty old A600s back to life, like I did with mine recently! Yes, I installed a new IDE-CF adapter and Compact Flash drive, a Kickstart ROM Switcher V2.0 with 2.04 and 3.1 ROMs, cleaned it all up and washed the case and keyboard, and stuck a PCMCIA CF card in there too. And I took pics too, would you like to see them??? Oh yeah and the spare upgrade I'll put away until I get another A600 and do it all up to give to a friend, maybe if I ever meet another girl who thinks my Amigas are neat and wants one for herself. They's make awesome WHDLoad and IRC terminals Last edited by Cammy; 13 January 2009 at 15:55. |
