On a Personal note, I find the demo DVDs very convenient to simply kick back and watch classic demos .
I've been hoping for these since Mindcandy annoncement, and now I am anxious to know if Mr. Tramiel (which is a member of this board -not very active) will let us down or release another Old School DVD (vol #2 was not as marvelous as the first volume, IMNHO although better on the technical ground). And HE uses the real thing to capture demos ! I think BippyM is/was working on something similar. |

Do you know a place where I can get HDF files or do you know a quick method to create some ?

HDF files containing ... ? what kind of stuff, games, demos, blank ones ?
I know a place actually (a project "hosting" some HDF'd games) , but I planned to make a thread about it so you'll have to wait, sorry ! I kinda find that process of HDF'ying games intriguing, but it's deemed obsolete. Bloodwytch and the AmigaSYS Team offer their preconfigured Workbenches as HDFs, and they made it easy to fill 'em with everything you could think of. |

What would be better than a 4GB hdf file full of Classic Kick 1.3 titles such as Rainbow Islands, Hybris, IK Plus, Better Dead Than Alien, Giana Sisters, Newzealand Story, Porche Challenge, The 3 Stooges, Xenon 2 and other old favorites Maybe even a big hdf file with all the best demos too? |

Are you sure you have repeated the mantra "Only Amiga makes it possible" long enough to have all your classic gaming dreams come true ?
I don't watch too many demos these days. Seriously, the demos chosen by Tramiel for his DVDs are among the best. I have forwarded him a supplemental list, with no more than 8-10 demos. What is a Minimig ? The problem is you don't mention if you would prefer these games in ADF format or WHD'fyed. I suppose it's the latter since keeping ADFs on HDFs wouldn't make much sense. Well, the preinstalled's need to be updated once in a while since "Patchers" work on fixes and enhancements on a regular basis. That means, KG site is the best place to pick up games "by the pound" (come back to it each time he makes an update, his updates are BIG usually) and then dispatch them on your HDF or HDD the way you want it to be. Gamebase Amiga comes close second. My favorite game from your short list is Hybris. Battle Squadron is Hybris II (sort of), try it if you weren't aware of this. |

@Kitty
A fully populated Gamebase Amiga would be what you search for. Either that or you simply unpack all preinstalled WHDLoad zips (including the demos of course ) to your WinUAE HD |
