I downloaded PinBall Dreams and Fantasies from the above link.

I copied the installer program included with WHDLoad into the C drawer.

PB Dreams freezes the whole computer and PB Fantasies gives dos #205 error now.

Note: I had to do a manual install of WHDload as the installer program gave an error.
All programs in the C drawer were copied to C on the A600 and the same with S drawer, installer was copied to C drawer.

Sure you didn't mistook the game names? You haven't enough memory for Pinball Dreams. A #205 DOS error in this case was discussed on EAB somewhere.

Game requires 1.3 MB Chip Mem (+ 2.3 other memory for preload option)

Can i assume that "Disk.1" really exists in your PBF folder?

Looks like it's a memory issue. Try a small game (that has one disk) and see if that'll work.

Well, maybe indeed a memory problem with 2 MB Chipram . But the readme says that for PBF:

Quote:
You need 1.0 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem

Maybe try running without the startup-sequence to free up as much memory as possible?

Just tried it with only 2MB chip and a 68000 on WinUAE and Pinball Fantasies works fine. Seems like something uses too much ram on your machine so Grahams tip should be spot on

Open too many Amiga folders/folders with too many files costs you a lot of mem.

Its worked fine with Arkanoid, the only thing in the Startup folder is Mount CF0:

Is the A4000 kick file not the same as the A1200 one?

I tried turning off the Prefetch option and it loaded some of the initial graphics screens, but then stopped at a blank screen.

Is there a way to find whats using the memory I need?

Thanks for all the replies.

Edit: 178188 mem after loading Wb, 592616 left after trying to load the game.
