I don't feel the urge for nothing more than 3 buttons, wheel and nothing more. So that's the only hack for me. Shame it don't work with CD32 controllers nor joypad "emulators" (APPE), you need to disconnect it before. BTW: do you visit the OT area? I'm sure you find Skippy on that Jaffa forum! |

For the CD32 joypad emulator, look into APPE (v4, if I'm not wrong). It converts a PSX joy into a CD32 "sort-off" controller (not work with all buttons, no vibration, no analog joysticks, but works). |

I can give it a go, I prefer through the hole. I have a friend who is better at soldering than me so if I struggle I can call on him.

Alright mate, i will solder the surface mount on it for you! I like surface mount, you dont have to drill all the bloody holes!
Your not in any rush for this are you? as im thinking of making my own version of a ps2 mouse adapter. Could take a few weeks Anyone got requests for features ? bear in mind i can only do pic programming, im not much use on the Amiga side. Im open to ideas. |

Err costs, maybe like £4 for the pic, 1p for each cap / resistor £2 max for the PCB board.
Oh an 50p post. Im only doing this for myself at the moment, not looking to go into production. Last edited by Dimlow; 06 September 2008 at 15:34. |

cocolino is probably one of my favourite pieces of hardware I've bought in recent years Works great, well worth the price.

I could quite easily go and buy one, but where is the fun and enjoyment in that. I enjoy making stuff, more than i enjoy using it. I made loads of gear for old micro's and repaired them and stuff like that. Its the challenge of doing it yourself that i enjoy, not the end product. maybe the cocolino is great, but for me what ever i make will be better, even if it don't have half the features.

Tony, I don't have all the parts, i thought you was going to do this yourself. All that's missing from a full kit would be the PS2 connector and the female D connector. I only offered to do one for skippy to shut him up Its just as easy for me to make two boards as it is to make one. So one extra for skip would not have bothered me. But he never replied, so the offer went to you.
Only you have asked about this, that's not enough people to consider making kits. Now if there were 30 or more, then yes I, or someone else could get a bunch of boards made up and kits could be put together. But i don't really see the point in this, as you may as well go buy one from Amigakit. Maybe we could make the kits for half the price. But that's was not my objective. Ah, i see your name is Criss, I'll have to stop calling you tony now. How often do you play that guitar ? Last edited by Dimlow; 06 September 2008 at 16:05. |
