Re: More rare games...

@Twistin' Ghost

You've made some good points, and thanks. The ADF of AQOTLF was made from within WinUAE using a newly created empty ADF as a target, and I don't think I did much if any muddling about and deleting files, so it should compress nicely. If I create any more though, I'll be sure that this will be the case, and will create one "master" adf which lacks only the story file for use as a template in creating new disks. The tip about deleting the data file and adding a replacement was intended more for folks who might want to use this as a basis for creating their own using Z-code files that they download themselves or that they might <gasp!> create using Inform.

@scifi
I find that I missed spotting one on your list that I can provide:

Andreas, your remark was really on point!
Thanks
Well, some pack of quirky and sarcastic guys used to mean that IRONICALLY in the past when they said that to me, so I would nonetheless be quite suspicious of this ... uh ... "praise". Heheh... :laugh

I just upped a copy of Drive IFF. Since this (PD) game has an editor and allows you to import IFF files in the game, it seems somebody did this with a powerboat racing theme. The only docs on the disk are those that accompany the standard version, so either somebody didn't want credit, or Decade removed that info (or maybe Decade banged it up themselves for the upload creds!) The latter makes the most sense when you consider the fact that they coded a cracktro claiming credit for cracking this game.

In any case, I feel this disk is an anomaly. I picked it up during my courier days because it was small and I was on a mere 9600baud USR. And since I am a packrat and keep everything, junk like this lives forever!

For the record, the description accompanying the file on the BBS's called it:
Drive IFF - International Power Boat Racing

YES! IT IS!

Anybody interested in buying it? Link to the page, and price, drake

Hopefully better late than never. Just so the URL's mirrored on this page as well. The game is listed on this page
http://valhallagames.com.au/val117.html

"Realm of the Trolls (Rainbow Arts) 21.95" (and for those who didn't look about the other thread, that's Aussie dollars I think)

Draughts and Enterprise ADFs upped

Quote:
- Draughts (19xx)(S. Hargreaves)
Found and upped.
NOTE: This is a version "fixed by me". FWIW, the full version of the game is now PD and it's available in the Aminet, BUT read on:

(1) That one from the Aminet is in lha format, that means it won't work unless it's installed to a HD.
(2) c/more is missing from the lha version, although the Default Tool of the README in the Tooltypes is set to Draughts:c/more!
Copyright restrictions? Perhaps. I've just taken it from my WB 1.3 and included it on the "disk".
(3) Kickstart 3.x required!
OS 2.04 might work on a REAL Amiga, but not on the emulator. Mouse cursor is invisible when using KS < 3.x.

Quote:
- Enterprise (1990)(ARC)
(comp) upped. Standalone version always welcome.

Hm.. I've got casino3000 somewhere on disk.. I could convert it to ADF!.. but i've never done that before..
I only have an Amiga500+.. does anyone have a good program for converting a disk to ADF? (A500+ has 2 MB ram.. maybe that will do some good ;-)

Drake: Thanks for the link! let's see if I can buy it...

BTW, to make ADFs, I recommend TransADF, unless you have an original copyprotected copy.

Just upped

Casino 3000
Day of the Pharaoh (original)

for your perusal. I tried to find the others, but to no avail, so I just added them to my MIA.

Oh yeah...I found a couple of Amiga images that I made into a nice double-barrel screenshot for you, but alas, there was no game accompanying these screens.

Smile UPDATE!

Still missing above / "claimed" to be not found yet:

Quote:
- Brain Challenge (1993)(Oase)
- Cosmo Struction (1991)(Empire Graphics)
- Earl Weaver Baseball Europe
- Brainies, The
are now in TOSEC!
(but I can up them anyway if you wish)

Quote:
- Bliff
- Brain Killer (AGA)(19xx)(Titan Computer/Virtual Madness)
- Championship Othello (1987)(King Size/Exodus Soft)
- Crimetown Depths (1988)(E-Motion Software)
- Déclic, Le [possibly FRENCH]
- Desperation (1996)(5th Dimension Licenceware/Pacific
Software)
- Deutsche Imperium, Das [GERMAN]
- Don Manolo 2
are still to surface!

whilst...

Quote:
- Dreenshar (1997)(LK Avalon/Poison Design)(Pl)
...was kindly supported by haynor as I remember, it's now in HOL.

and with...

Quote:
- Castles 2 – Siege & Conquest (AGA)(1992)(Interplay)(HD)
it is doubtful that it's really AGA. An ECS HD-only version comprising 8 disks is now in TOSEC.

About Crimetown Depths...

This game is definetly a Missing in Action, because never completed and released. To see some screenshots and a bit of story, click on the link below:

http://members.tripod.com/~Bolido/MGCTD.htm

Or, you can download the rolling demo in The Zone!

-Bliff upped by RareStuffHunter long ago.
-Brain Killer was never released/finished, so the demo on Aminet is all we have.
-Championship Othello upped ages ago.
-Crimetown Depths like The Wolf says (and has been detailed on my MIA since forever)
-Don Manolo 2 upped by DPainter way back when.
-Desperation upped by Warlock99 some time back...need to make DBS, though

also

-Cylogic long since upped by tomcat666
-Down At The Trolls [Realm Of The Trolls] 'Realm' was upped by RetroMan, no sign of the 'Down' release yet

scifi hasn't been seen in these parts since the end of January, so I dunno what he's been up to these days. Perhaps that's how come his list is dormant?

Re: Re: UPDATE!

Thanks a lot for these "memory fills", Twist!

It would be fabulous if you re-upped these ones, because I don't have either of them (anymore) except the Crimetown Depths demo.
