among my collection there was this "Loom" disk.
i´ve done a MFM dump and look at the image with a hex editor and saw that there is indeed a loom.exe on it. i wonder what this is. AFAIK Loom PC version consists of 3 disks and was released in 1990. the disk i found has another printed release year (1989) and it seems that there are no other disks. no "1/3" or "2/3" or "3/3" printed on the label perhaps a demo of the game ??? would you like to have a dump of it ??? and can tell us what it is ??? |

Sure, but you can try yourself the image too.
My guess would be a rolling demo, or ega only graphics. |

Well, it's simply bad... but you can read enough of the image anyway.
If you run the ploom.exe from the image file it installs a batch file that would use 6 disks, regardless you can surpringly run the game. You'll find that it's version 1.2 Deutsch 7, juni 1990. |

Yes, WHL is fine, but it's not duplicated, so would need another copy.

err...what does it mean it is not duplicated ??? and you need another copy ???
do you need always dumps from 2 different disksets to verify that the dumps are not modified ??? |

The majority of games were duplicated with machines like Trace at the time.
Data written by duplicators are different from the ones written by home machines, hence it is possible to see if something is modified/authentic or not. When something is not duplicated, at least one other copy is needed. |
