ClassicWB 68k with 1meg ram only

Hi Bloodwych,I see the ClassicWB GAAE requires 40mb hard drive space? The A590 i have has the 20mb drive as standard.
I have been googling the A590 and upgrading the HD and it seems due to the rom in the unit it will only allow 20mb maximum and there was a place were you could buy better roms to fit which would allow bigger HD's also the HD is the old 8 bit XT ones which are very scarce now.So i thought if i could get a scsi cable for the A590 at least i can add a bigger scsi hard drive for further storage like whdload games.
I have so much to ask you and seek help its been a while!

I'm afraid I know little about the A590, apart from what it actually is so can't advise you about upgrades and cables.

Yes it isn't 100% clear on the GAAE download page, but Paul passed away and is sadly missed. That's why I finished that pack as he was the one who started it. There is a thread in memory of him on the board and he will always be remembered around here.

20MB??? You are really going to want to just install a standard Workbench 2 without much extras so you have enough room for games.

I seriously wouldn't bother with the ClassicWB pack - you could try and strip it down by removing stuff in WinUAE first, but a standard Workbench install plus WHDLoad may be your best bet, so you can at least fit on a few games.

I'd ask in the hardware section for help with your A590 - see what your options are for upgrades.
