Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this, it is quite evident.

I used to be an electronics technician many years ago, working on A1000's and A500's, along with VIC-20's and C-64's. True story, my first Amiga was given to me by Commodore, a shipment of A500's arrived with user manuals missing from one of the boxes in an order our company placed with Commodore. I alerted Commodore to this oversight and they sent us a complete A500, no charge, so my boss gave it to me. I wish I had never sold it many years later.

Your work is a testament to the influence these systems had on us. I really like the way you set it up. I am now a software developer and I may look into front-ending Amiga games, not that I don't like or appreciate your work, I certainly do, just something to fiddle with in my "spare" time.

Thank you for putting all these memories into a nice neat package, I see myself staying up late at night as I did when I was younger, I can hear my wife calling to me from our bed, "Roy, it's 3 in the morning"

I have tested out a bunch of games already and have to say you did a great job.

P.S. Can you add Peter's Quest, my wife and I used to play that till the wee hours of the morning.
Great story Roy, and thank you for posting initial feedback

ransom1122 PM'd me to say that he had issues with the disk I used for RoboCop on his real Amiga i.e:
Robocop (1987)(Ocean)[cr QTX][t +1 Leaders Inc].adf
Basically he couldn't use the <Right Mouse Button> to switch off unlimited lives, but this works fine via WinUAE.

Anyway, I've now changed to the better trained version by Flashtro

So, please just do the following:
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\RoboCop".
  • Download / extract this file into "C:\WinUAE".

Given the discussion in this thread: Mysterious Worlds - bad ADF.

I think it's best to change from the trained .ADF to the WHDLoad version, given the issues the original disk version has:

...beside the fixes listed; the screen and HUD are also centered.

The trainer is useless anyway (besides level select); there's no point having Unlimited Lives as if you run out of special weapon you are stuck.

So, please just do the following:
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Mysterious Worlds".
  • Download / extract this file into "C:\WinUAE".

Given the discussion in the following thread, I've now updated my .HDF to include all working game exe files: Tfx Aga?
  • TFX_68000 [from CUCD15]
  • TFX_FPU [from CUCD15]
  • TFX_040 [from Google Groups]

So please just download / extract this file into "C:\WinUAE"

Interesting why use the CUCD15 files? There was a later version on CUCD26 I think

Really? Do all game exe files work fine?

Ok, I'll take a look.

Edit: have now taken a look at CUCD26...

This isn't the full game but 4 x "fixes" (contained within "TFXfix") and "documentation":

Compared these 4 x files with the ones on CUCD15; they are the same size / date.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also tried out these from HOL:

Quote:
In response to some of the bugs identified, TFX coder Charlie Wallace released updated BETA executables in Dec 1997. The TFX BETA execs are available for download from his website, but are not guaranteed to fix all the game's bugs nor work on all Amiga configurations:

(a) TFX_020 BETA exec (requires FPU)
(b) TFX_030 BETA exec (requires FPU)
(c) TFX_040 BETA exec (requires 68040/060 CPU)
The 020 exe starts but corrupt graphics.
The 030 and 040 exes halt WinUAE.

It was such a buggy game, I believe it wasn't even finished which is how CU Amiga managed to get it.

Here it is for people that want to try it before I release the next Update Pack; whenever that is

So, please just download / extract this file into "C:\WinUAE".

Thanks DoubleD

Always busy behind the scenes improving on greatness, even when you've spent most of your time playtesting Tiny Bobble to its core helping Pink you still manage to pluck out an update..

Congrats man

I'm not going to lie; the latest Update Pack took sooooo long to put together for the sole reason that I'm really, really, really struggling to find any new / decent games worth adding...

So any suggestions, please post in this thread: Request for any gems
