I've slightly updated the configuration file for Heretic & Hexen; as Hexen was crashing for me 9 times out of 10 with WinUAE 4.4.0 beta 3.
Things are much better now i.e. 2 crashes out of 30 tries, so please just download / extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE" Last edited by DamienD; 22 May 2020 at 10:30. |

With this new configuration, "Heretic" wouldn't even start: Luckily just adding an FPU solved the issue and doesn't cause any problems with "Hexen" Many thanks to ransom1122 for bringing this to my attention So, please just download / extract the new configuration to "C:\WinUAE". So, to enjoy this new finding, please just download / extract to "C:\WinUAE" Last edited by DamienD; 26 May 2020 at 22:35. |

This collection sounds great - I'd love to find something to kickstart my Amiga collection, as I just got an A500 and got it working last week.
I'm a little confused on how to get it... do I need to PM someone for access? |

Wow. This is GREAT!
First, I got through the downloads last night. I spent the $5 on a month of Mega, so I could download thorugh the data cap. Downloading is also MUCH faster, that way, as I could get a 500MB chunk in seconds. I installed the pack last night, and it installs super-easy. I just ran the Setup, and everything "just worked." I am not sure what impact this will have on my existing WinUAE configs, but I'll deal with that later (probably by creating a folder for the game pack games.) I haven't spent a whole lot of time with it yet, but I was able to boot Lemmings up, and now there are thousands of games I can go through to catch up on the Amiga gaming scene. JDownloader is definitely a good tool for grabbing the files. If I could make a suggestion - it would be nice to have a single text file that has all of the URLs in one block of text. Stored that way, it's super easy to paste a block of text into JDownloader and then just let it run. Amusingly, Mega flags JDownloader as "suspicious" every time I use it. That's not really a problem, as they don't do anything about it, but I find it amusing that I get an email every time. Thanks, Damien. I definitely appreciate all of your hard work! |
