http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.7z has experimental touchscreen (and tablet) light pen emulation mode. Game Ports panel -> select Touchscreen light pen to port 1 or 2. Virtual input device has only single configurable event, trigger button (=touchscreen touch or tablet first button).

wow it works! amazing! do you know any way to get rid of the yellow crosshair? that would be perfect for the lightgun games

Nice. Testing this using cheap Windows tablet was too painful

I added new config file entry "lightpen_crosshair", set it to false to disable the cursor. (No GUI support, at least not yet)

Sorry, I was testing it with a windows bamboo graphics tablet and worked, but yesterday I could finally test it with a lightgun and it didnt work. The "touchcreen lightpen" didnt appear whe lighgun was plugged as it did with the graphics tablet.

"Not working" is not acceptable reply as usual

Only Windows touch API or wintab supported touchscreen/tablet-like devices are supported.

sorry Toni, lightgun not working I mean In game ports "touchcreen lightpen" is not listed when I plug a lightgun instead of a graphics tablet. It's a real shame,
I supposed it to work as until now, 100% of the emus that worked ok with the graphics tablet, worked ok with the lightgun as they use absolute coordenates.

What do you mean with "added new config file entry lightpen_crosshair", through the commandline? have you reuploaded the "http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.7z" file or what?

Still no useful information. What is the device? How does it work? Does it emulate mouse? What happens in Windows desktop? Include winuaebootlog.txt.

Add line to config file. (lightpen_crosshair=false)

sorry Toni, the device is "https://www.ultimarc.com/aimtrak.html", it emulates the mouse. Absolute coordenates. You can play two players with rawinput.
In mame and more emulators you can play it two players.

Many tanks for your effort Toni, but I can't get to work the "lightpen_crosshair=false". I write at the end of my configuration file (name.uae) and the crosshair keeps showing.

Hi Toni, here are the bootlogs you said, one with mousedriver ticked, that causes a crash, and the other with the lightgun plugged and selected in port1.

Too old winuae version used. (always use winuae.7z and redownload it every time and make sure it does not come from cache)

Insert only lightgun, start winuae using -log -inputlog 2 ("winuae.exe -log -inputlog 2"), boot to plain A500 1.3 config without any disks inserted, move the lightgun and you should see messages appearing the winuae log window. Move the gun a bit more and attach the log (winuaelog.txt)

Untested absolute "mouse" lightpen support added. Just select the mouse normally using game ports panel and set it to lightpen mode, if device reports absolute coordinates, it will automatically override normal relative mode lightpen.

If it does not work: logs still needed, see previous post.

It is still from old version. Make sure you use winuae.7z url (above) and it is not coming from browser cache etc. It should be dated today, not 8.3.2017!

Just realising that lightgun moves right the cursor depending on the "mouse speed" option value, when 80 seems to be ok, the problem is that it seems to drag the cursor, and when you go offscreen our aiming go nuts.
I think the emulators wich support lightguns mouse speed never affect

With this version seems crosshair is off without any parameter (no problem for me)
but the aiming seems to have the same problem

winuaelog.txt, not winuaebootlog.txt (if it isn't generated, open Paths panel and tick logging checkbox before starting emulation).

EDIT: Some adjustments done. It seems absolute range is always 0 to 65535. Please also describe how it works incorrectly. (always same offset, offset changes in different positions etc)
