Gabriel Knight.. but it would probably just have been another *horrible* Sierra port.

Not if it was handled with the same love as the King's Quest VI port. And the bad Sierra ports were mostly in the transition phase... PQ3, KQV, LSL5, Conquest of the Longbow and so on. These were the first generation of Sierras point'n'click interface. KQVI was excellent, unfortunately it was also one of their last ports.

Yeah, KQ6 was a good port, done by Revolution (I actually made a longplay of this one).
But that's one of the few good ports they released. |

My all-time most- wanted game for Amiga is Sonic the Hedgehog.
I still think it's possible to do. Perhaps, one day, when I start coding for the Amiga.... who knows... |

I wish more adventure games had been released as AGA versions.. would be cool to have Lucasarts adventures in AGA for instance.
Also the Sierra games... they look *horrible* in 32 colors, because of the bad porting (not KQ6 as was mentioned earlier, that one looked good). Quote:
Another game that would be cool to have on Amiga is Lost Vikings 2 (the SNES version with similar graphics as the first one, not the Playstation version). I also think the first game on the Amiga should have had backgrounds like the SNES version did. Also, an English version of Loom CDTV would be cool. Also, Heart of the Alien (the sequel to Another World, only released for Sega CD) would be cool as well.. it's not that great, Another World is much, much better.. but I'd still think it had been cool with an Amiga version. EDIT - oh, and Prince of Persia 2 would be cool as well. Last edited by laffer; 25 May 2008 at 17:00. |

I still don't get why it was never made. They had the engine and everything ready...

Mega-Lo-Mania is unique and yet no sequel was made. It's still one of my favorite RTS games. I would really love to see something new alike (even on the PC ). Btw : A very good taste you have, Zetr0 san! |

Yes, we would just need tools to make it easier. tools to get the ROM contents, and then being able to assemble them back ! And getting the good palettes right away !
once the gfx are fully assembled, the game mechanic can be programmed. |

It's such a pity it was never finished Mega-Lo-Mania had so many cool idea's that it's hard to understand, with all those lousy sequels out there, why the second part was not finished. That would be a great idea for a fan remake . |

You're right about that HH. Small companies have to concentrate on one project at a time and that was SWOS. Still would love to see anything similar to Mega-Lo-Mania I'm not too much into RTS, but MLM really is so much fun to play and addictive. Can you imagine how much fun it would be to play against other human players in a best of 5 game?

sure. in fact, i'd happily take MLM as it is with a level editor and a 2-4 player linkup mode ... maybe via bsdsocket.device?
anyone for a re-source project? |

I've only browsed the first couple of pages, so others may have mentioned these:
Gryzor (someone already mentioned Contra? It's the same game) Lands of Lore Duke Nukem 3D (I know there's a freeware port now, but back then....) better Street Fighter conversions Raiden Several titles spring to mind that'd be awsome to have for AGA, like MK 2, Gods (although Gods Deluxe is great!), Turrican series, Midnight Resistance (I want the proper weapon sprites dammit! and second button support, who thought of that "shift" button for 2nd weapon fire?), SotB series, Sierra and Lucas adventures......so many! At least we've got emulators to (somewhat) satisfy our needs, but proper miggy conversions would be so much better....! A complete Bubble Bobble with all the secrets would be great to have as well as the arcade conversion of WWF Superstars instead of the WWF Wrestlemania flop (don't even mention the awfull European Rampage....) |
