Which one is worse? RD1 or 2? Me personally I vote for the sequel.

Funny how RD was just frustratingly fun to us, if someone would play that today it would result in rage quit, harddrive formatting and a rant on both Facebook and Youtube.

i had to keep telling Alex off for putting Rick Dangerous style traps in Mr Beanbag. There still are a few that were just too funny.

Maybe I'm just a dirty cheater, but most of my favourite games on Amiga wouldn't certainly be my favourites if it wasn't for the awesome trainers they came with.

I love Rick Dangerous, but I'm pretty sure I'd have thrown it out of the window after a while if it wasn't for the unlimited lives trainer!

Indeed! If it wasn't for checkpoints you'd be repeating entire levels each time even if you had unlimited lives!

Yeah some trainers simply fix a problem in the game; having a limited number of lives is one in especially RD2. To me personally there is no cheating behind giving yourself endless lives, it doesn't make the game any easier; just possible to finish.

Emerald Mine has some really frustrating levels, but it's always fun! What a great game.

Rick dangerous 1&2 weren't that bad. I agree it was difficult. But back when it came out you'd spend hours and hours, days and days working out the trapa. Often dying to write it paper and pen and playing again until you got to the next puzzle. Lol
It was more exciting progressing through the game like this. I'm glad I finished both without cheats back in the day.
But today's day and age there's no way id do that

That's quite an achievement, Mr Ransom. While I loved RD 1 & 2, I could only play them with trainers.

Rick Dangerous, really?
That's probably the game I finished more often, along with Golden Axe...

Rick Dangerous is not so much a game of skill and reactions so much as trial and error, and memory. Just remember the sequence of moves that doesn't kill you. There is no way to avoid most of the deaths except by knowing about them in advance, or perhaps by getting to know how the game designers think.

I still had a lot of fun with this game, though.

SQRXZ is really really hard and frustrating. So frustrating, I didn't even dare to play it on one of my Amigas since my GPH Caanoo had to suffer badly while I played the game (and its successors).

In Graveyard for Atari ST fast enemies constantly crashing into your slow-turning ship. Radar is just to show you - your unavoidable death is coming.
