Hi Don_Adan! Wanted to ask if the Open-source dos.library is complete now? Still some (original) bugs left?

This version is still not final version for me, due perhaps 1-2KB of size can be gained, a few (3-4) C big routines can be optimised. Due I have Amiga browser bet with meynaf, I stopped most of my other projects for now. |

I was only curious if you have been already working on some improvements you mentioned in http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=104
But thanks for the info! I have also the impression it runs pretty stable. |

Hello Don,

Didn't know a version other than the patched 45.005 (ToolsDaemon 2.2) existed till now! Where have you got it?
45.005 though works just fine on OS3.9 with or without Don_Adan's workbench.library |

No idea, I always thought:
ToolsDaemon 2.1a (37.84) + Patch to v2.2 = 45.01 |

ToolsDaemon -> 45.01 (18.01.2002)
ToolsDaemon-handler -> 45.005 (06.03.2002) If you do not have the same, I can attach them. I am using workbench.library -> 45.131 (15.04.2006) On a1k also some other guys reported the same problem. |

Yep, that's the one I'm having and I don't have a single issue.
Tested it both with Workbench.library 45.131 (that I run till now) and with the patched version of PeterK 45.132 that I use nowadays. If I can help further gimme a shout |

Apex sorry mate, you were right!
I made a mistake on my test custom ROM leaving outside the newest dos.library! I made another Custom one with the new dos.library realizing that I also have problem running ToolsDaemon Apparently there is an issue with the newest dos.library as with the original one, there is not a single problem. (All other mini modules of DonAdan don't have a problem with ToolsDaemon as well) |

Sure...
Only difference are in the Tooltypes window the window declaration. I used the original .info as you said with the new Dos.library and I had exactly the same Error. No error with the normal dos.library (with or without the original .info) |

With WinUAE its working fine. OK After small investigation it's clear now. I was using older version. Looks like only last version have this bug. I will report this to Don_Adan now. Last edited by tom256; 12 November 2012 at 22:20. |

I *think* I found a bug:
I tried to copy an AmigaDOS-script along with its icon in Workbench and ASyncWB threw an exception error. I tried without this new dos.library and then the copy was succesful without the error. Can anyone else confirm this? |

The latest dos.library seems to crash when I open a filerequester inside StormC 4 (with PatchASL). It also crashes when I invoke the debugger or StormRun (without PatchASL installed). All work with dos.library 40.3.
Both on a real amiga and in WinUAE with OS3.9 BB4. |

New version is available. This version is based on v42 code and only a few routines are reworked for first version. As bonus (?) dos_lib.i file is attached, maybe can be useful for someone.
