Hopefully the delay indicates that they are improving the game and not papering over the cracks...

Looks fun to play. Hope it's got a good plot and is actually fun to play.Nott a bad price can't be a big game then. Last edited by Rob 1; 11 April 2016 at 00:52. |

I saw a vdeo of a developer presenting the game and I was pretty impressed. The game is sold at less than full price but still looks good. I like the fact that they stayed true to the original in a number of ways, such as the deep backgrounds (in 3D, of course) mimicking the revolutionary parallax scrolling of yesteryear. Oh, and jet engines undergrounds The meadows/grassland environment looks like a direct 3D adaption, although the one I saw might have been from an earlier version because some hings, like the grass, were not as good. So far, I've only seen the desert of Karamoon as well as some dark interiors and screenshots of a forest area with the giant hands coming out of the ground. I also like how fluid Aarbron moves, he automatically climbs up ledges without slowing down. It's too bad it's a PS4 title as I would love to play this on the PC.

Isn't that a theme for a PS4 menu etc? It does look great doesn't it Cherno. Deans cover imagery never really was taken in to the game they seem to have done this now, SOTB was all about the art and this looks to deliver. Last edited by Rob 1; 11 April 2016 at 13:48. |

I'm soo tempted to get a PS4 just to have the theme and play the SOTB game.. LOL But there's not much point in pre-ordering if you don't have a PS4 is it?.. |

In the meantime you can always spoil yourself by watching some random guy play it on youtube or twitch like all those "cool" kids seem to be enjoying nowadays? |

Oh well, a few years in the future we will have a PS4 emulator for the PC, and then we can play this game if a ROM is available

Few years?
Still waiting for an xbox emulator, and that literally was a PC in a box, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a PS4 or xbox one emulator any time soon. |

Sorry to spoil the excitement, but the reality is that SOTB was a _very_ poor game. SOTB 3 was about the only decent one of the series, and even then that was garbage.
Personally, I'd prefer to hear the (brilliant) music remade than a piss poor game that is only remember for the graphics of the time. |

I think it's playable if you always remember about slow turning left-right. Broken ladders are bit unfair but I think you can spot which is dangerous before fall.

Am I being controversial in saying I don't think the graphics are quite good enough, or is it just age? I was kind of expecting to be blown away like I was with the Original.

Those days are long gone. Video games are now so realistic, that nothing gives you the 'wow' factor anymore, like SOTB did in the 80's.
