I'm assuming you're talking about the Sonnet? I only have blurry pictures to go off of but it looks like a zero ohm resistor. I would suggest verifying that elsewhere if you're doing what I think you're doing.

Major update in the works. Not for current users, though. Neither A1200 related.

Not regarding software. Maybe regarding power (stability) which can be solved anyway if you're handy.

I changed the g3 with mpc7410RX500LE

I dont know the value but I added 390 ohm to R62.

Initppc adds sonnet ram to system but when I click to any ppc software nothing is happening.

note: now it says powerpc cpu posibly crushed during setup.

Did you try 0 ohm? Or just a jumper wire?

Does getinfo run?

Dunno. You can look using a memory monitor whether the zero page is set up correctly. But the memory is actually set up by the PPC so it should be running. You are vague on ''nothing happening''. A hang or return to prompt when using CLI PPC programs?

It looks like no interrupts are generated by the north bridge.

I would suggest clocking it down to 400MHz temporarily to eliminate power issues.

Uh you're welcome ...

Looks like the 4410 MOSFET just blew, probably too much power for her. I guess we know why Sonnet never released G4s faster than 450MHz- or we don't know anything. Other than don't listen to me.

7410 does not support 3.3v IO on L2 cache
also the HRESET is different

The top pad of R62 goes to OVDD at T5.
The bottom pad of R62 goes to K13, VOLTDET.

The VOLTDET pin position on the MPC750 360 BGA package is now an L2OVDD pin on the MPC7410 360 package.
Also
11. The VOLTDET pin position on the MPC750 360-CBGA package is now an L2OVDD pin on the MPC7400 360-CBGA package.

So L2OVDD got tied to OVDD, I guess. Which I believe are different, one is 2.5V the other is 2.2V or something like that.

From 7400 manual:
3. To allow for future I/O voltage changes, provide the option to connect BVSEL and L2VSEL independently to either
OVDD (selects 3.3v), OGND (selects 1.8v), or to HRESET (selects 2.5v). The Processor bus and L2 bus support all 3
options. (See Table 2. Input Threshold Voltage Setting)

Same for 7410:
To allow for future I/O voltage changes, provide the option to connect BVSEL and L2VSEL independently to either OVDD,
GND, HRESET, or ¬HRESET. For the MPC7410 the L2 bus only supports 2.5- and 1.8-V options. The default selection, if
L2VSEL is left unconnected, is 2.5-V operation. For the MPC7410 the processor bus supports 3.3-, 2.5-, and 1.8-V options.
The default selection, if BVSEL is left unconnected, is 3.3-V operation. Refer to Table 2 for supported BVSEL and L2VSEL
settings.

BVSEL is pin W1. Which appears to be connected to B6 or HRESET. Which should be 2.5V.

Take this with a pound of salt.

Happy Friday, new Dosbox_WOS 0.74 in the Zone. Faster, which is still really not very fast and with probably fresh bugs. Except in fullscreen, fullscreen is loads slower than windowed.
