i've added a new archive with lw5.0r and content.

LW50r_Incl.CDContent.lha

added content of the videotoaster iso: images, scenes, objects, added new lwpanel.p
added plugins to lw-config. binaries are version 5.0r
third icon "Assigns" will add toaster: and 3D: assigns

so start the assigns icon first, next modeler or lightwave.

Is that meant to just dump a gazillion small files..its killing my Workbench trying to show them in a window?

do not use "show all" in workbench. once extracted you should see a "toaster" folder (icon)
inside you will see lightwave and modeller icons. thats all you need and the only ones with icons.

#1) old archive replaced with LW50r_Incl.CDContent.lha

added content of the videotoaster iso: images, scenes, objects, added new lwpanel.p
added plugins to lw-config. binaries are version 5.0r
third icon "Assigns" will add toaster: and 3D: assigns

start the assigns icon first, next modeler or lightwave.

np, it's just collecting the tools
the new archive should have been done many moons ago, it's much easier now to play with lightwave - for those interested

Hello,

I've been trying to install WaveMaker v.2 taken from the Zone. It seems that there is a file called 'lx' missing from disk 1.
This must be an anagram/renamed filename for 'lha', because simply by copying to the disk and renaming lha to lx works just fine.

Is there a possibility to correct the images located in the Zone somehow? Or at least place a text file somewhere warning about this?

thanks for feedback. I've uploaded "WaveMaker v2.0-(Disk 1 of 6)-fixed.adf"
added the lx command from "WaveMaker v1.0" - now also on the ftp.

#1) wavemaker is a neat tool. one can compare it with HollywoodFX and VisualFX.
comes with some nice preconfigured effect scenes (Prefabs)

#2) btw. it's not the zone, it's the ftp. read: How do I get access to the zone?

#3) the FuzzBlob Amiga Raytracing Society website is still hidden from the public.

#1) It just finished installation, can't wait to play around a bit with it!

#2) Oh, sorry, thought it was the same thing. I'll do the reading

#3) Yeah, I know. FuzzBlob does not allow for groups to be visible unless one has logged in. I've set it on Public, but to no avail... I guess a homepage would be a better solution.

Well, FB suxx, what can I say. Consider creating a fake account using Tor browser.

now we have to conclude, without the scene, those apps would be lost forever

no name or details, but if you dont mind, can you say who were
the supplier of those - even at that time - rare tools?
some freelancer artists or art departments?

Cant remember. Red Devil of DCS supplied it to me asking if I could crack it for a US friend of his, he tested it afterwards and confirmed it worked, and then Red Devil decided we might as well release it.

Was my first crack for Dual Crew

Is there a preconfigure winUAE configuration file around? Or does anyone know the best winUAE config for lightwave 50r?

if you have a wb/kick 3.x system with 030+and fpu already running, just try this one:
(enable JIT in cpu section - to make things faster - thats all)

Awesome, thanks. One thing before I try this. I used Amiga forever's Amiga 4000 preconfigured machine after cranking up the Z3 ram. It seems to run fine except that the lighwave GUI is too big for the workbench screen Left side and right side gets cut off by a hair. I increased the screen res in WB but that didn't help. Also, I'm looking for a manual for this particular version if one exists. Google isn't turning up much. I'll check my lightwave manual from a very early PC version I have but simple things like saving animations and stuff I can't recall or figure out. Going to give WinUAE a try with your suggested config and see if the display is any better there.

EDIT: Found these!:http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=69194
EDIT2: Yep Winuae allows LW to run in such a way that the GUI is not cut off. Awesomeness. Thanks again!
