I think quite a lot of users are now using the Indivision MK2 with Kipper2k's HDMI adapter. If there was anyway to collaborate to come up with wiring which is compatible that would be very cool.

Does the HDMI adapter work with the Indivision ECS?

No but kipper does a VGA adapter which fits in the same position.

We like tidy amigas. Would just soldering the output of the megamix on to these pins work? So the megamix and amiga audio are combined on the original outputs.

or would there need to be some sort of hardware mixer?

You need a mixer. You could remove the two audio caps and wire amiga audio to the prisma paula input and then wire the primsa mixed output to the other cap pads that go to output.
It should work, but this is just a quick thought. You would have to know what your doing first. Its also down to the user, we will offer as jack board with and without backplate and a basic cable for amiga input and jack output.

We have a new unified driver that is being tested that should cover both clockport and zorro. So once thats tested, we are good to go.

Don't forget as well that on the A1200 at least (and I suspect other Amigas as well), not plugging anything into the audio outputs causes them to short and mix together, and so soldering like is shown there will result in mono sound from the Amiga outputs. It was intended for using with systems with only a mono input, so you didn't lose half your audio when you only use the left connector for example. It's a simple mod to remove this feature, but don't forget to do it while you're in there soldering away.

Unified driver is working well on both Zorro and Clockport.
Just waiting on last components to arrive. They have been delayed.

Kipper2k's HDMI audio mod is not a true HDMI audio solution. It is not digital and does not use a standard HDMI cable.

It is a space / mess saving idea, utilizing two normally unused conductors to send analog L/R audio down a custom HDMI cable which has phono plugs at the TV end.

I just thought that if lots of people were using the Kipper2k HDMI adapter for their Indivision MKII then they might like a compatible cable to connect to the Prisma+Paula output.

Ian provided me with the new Prisma.library this week which enables Zorro mode. So Chris and I tested Prisma in two A4000s, one with a Buster 9 and one with a Buster 11. All tests passed

This evening I implemented the extended m3u support in PrismaControl and my work tomorrow Is to implement reading and displaying the ID3 data.

I am waiting for Ian to add a few extra features to the Prisma.library such as a message to my program that the song has ended and also a progress indicator.

The Prisma.library for 68k is currently high optimised in assembler for maximum performance so it needs to be converted back to c code in order to port to OS4 for the future AmigaOS 4.1 Classic version of the library.

Please don't forget foreign characters inside id3 tags (Turkish for instance )

Also I have a wish. Can you make some kind of dummy.library for FroggerNG so that we can redirect sound to Prisma?

If we can get hold of the source code for FroggerNG we can add Prisma support.

Also Prisma has a nice Arexx interface so programs can control Prisma easily. If you are using Backbone, Blitz or anything that supports Arexx, it can be useful.

Unfortunately I think the sources are lost. Too bad because it was great to be able to watch divx movies using WarpUp.

Maybe this could help?

@ancalimon

MHI driver is already supported on Prisma, so if FroggerNG supports MHI, we are in business!

EDIT: Just sent email to the FroggerNG author - hope he still checks the email.

@kriz

Streaming is a good idea, I will look into it.

Copyright should be moved to some about-requester.

And what about AmiNetRadio? It can't be used with a MAS player.

Sorry to bring this up again.

Using this mod :-

but with red and white going into the megamix (paula output). Then then output of megamix with paula passthrough to kippers hdmi adapter.

Would this work?

Yes it should, but as alex pointed out, it wont be digital, only analogue.
However you would still have to remove the caps at the output, or you will just end up with paula audio and no mixed audio.

Nice, but for Blitz we can happily accept the LVO/FD file and therefore you deliver support for Blitz and AmiBlitz natively!

Thanx
