No way for simple upgrade from version to version

Why? You need to erase whole hdd if you want to upgrade?

I'm not familiar with ClassicWB but what I've always done is create a separate partition for WB. That way you can easily quick format it and do a reload without affecting any of your other data.

That is Ok, but if you installed network cards, Genesis for the web, Ibrowsea and such software it needs to be reinstalled since it usually is on System partition.

I would not put such software on the system partition, but even if you did, it's not going to take any more than 2 minutes to reinstall those things.
