File Listing Truncation

Hi All,

I'm a long-time lurker here who has just "done the right thing" and registered as a user - great Amiga info board, BTW!

I've been using the file server to get some fills for some of my TOSEC collections, particularly those for the Commodore 64. Some of the directories (e.g. Demos/[D64]) I assume do have > 10,000 files in them but the file listing (on both WinSCP and Filezilla at my end) is truncated to only the first 10,000 files.

I'm sure I read something on here about that very same problem some time ago but despite doing some intensive searching in the threads here, I couldn't find any mention of it.

I assume this is a known issue and from the research I have done, it appears to be an FTP server-side issue, rather than a client-side issue.

So are the admins here aware of this issue and is there another way of getting to those files above the 10,000th in the list?

Or is this simply a case of waiting for someone to split down the directories to contain < 10,000 files each?

Thanks in advance for any info and apologies if this question has been asked before.

I can confirm the issue (using Filezilla). For the directory you specified the last file I can see in the listing is:
Music%20Disc%20Collection%20#08%20(19xx)(-)(Side%20B).zip

The admins are probably not aware it (not everyone look at every folder every day), so it was a good idea to register to mention that.

I hope Magix can fix it directly, because I also have that problem with my client...

I don't know if this helps but there is a "LimitRecursion" setting on some FTP servers according to this thread I came across:
