Question WHDload 17.1 problem with user input

Hello,
today I tested the latest WHDload version 17.1. I try some music demos (for example Megablast by Rebels) and some of them need to select next track through keyboard. The first key input always works fine. But next key hit dosen´t did anything but the program is still running. So quit key also won´t work. Hm, I am not sure if it is my configuration but maybe someone could confirm working with latest whdload.

Best regards

FD

I'll give it a try. Where did you download the hd installable versions from?

Ok, installed WHDLoad, installed Megablast by Rebels and everything works ok. All the 'F' keys work and change the tracks.

I used a default A1200 setup except for 16mb z3 fast and 32mb rtg.

It seems to be a slave issue: the keyboard wait routine is broken.

Hello,
same happend with Ode to Ramon 2. Second key hit is broken and program is still running.
Another problem, saving dialog dosen´t allow any keyboard type at the settlers. Hm, very strange... in past I am sure that this works.
Tomorrow will go back to WHDload 16.8 and testing again.

Best regards

FD

I can tell you 16.9 behaves the same way with regards to keyboard input on The Settlers. Any help or fixes ??

It's a known bug.

Unhappy

Hi,
sorry for delay. Today tested with whdload 16.8 and still same issue with Megablast (Rebels) and Ode to Ramon 1/2.
Maybe I have a keyboard problem when on Arnie´s machine all running fine.

Best regards

FD

The keyboard wait is not broken, I'm using a standard keyboard interrupt with normal raster wait in my slaves.

I suppose it was you too who opened the issue on the Mantis bugtracker about keyboard problems with my John Barnes patch? I can't reproduce any keyboard problems, do you have these problems only with my patches?

Does this problem perhaps occur with a keyboard adapter like Lyra, PC-Key etc.? Because eg. some WHD Pinball games have problems with Lyra adapter.
