It's quite possible that I've got this CD. I'll have a look through my old media boxes and let you know.

Hi Interceptor,
Good news! I have both original Hot Sound & Vision 1 and 2 IBM PC CD-ROMs, each containing 600MB of demos and music from the erstwhile Sound and Vision BBS. ![]() How would you like me to make the ISO(s) available to you? |

If you would like them both, then I'll upload them to my user folder on the EAB File Server in the next couple of days, and TCD can decide where they should go.

Keep your eye on this thread:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633 The EAB File Server login details are in the first post. I shall post there that I wish to upload them and TCD will reply to tell me it's okay. If I then let him know when I have done it, he will announce where they have been moved to, so that everyone can grab them. ![]() |

I wil upload them to the EAB server. I have created the ISOs. Now I just have to compress and upload them.
I have not had a chance to do it yet, because I am trying to preserve ASAP a collection of floppy disks respresenting the coding history of the AlienBash programmers. I'm now down to just a few troublesome disks... Don't worry, you'll get them. I'll probably start uploading the images before the weekend. I'll try and get the inserts scanned as well. |

I've uploaded the Hot Sound and Vision ISOs to my user folder on the EAB File Server. When TCD has moved them, they will be available to download.
![]() I will upload scans of the inserts to go with them tomorrow. Edit: Done! ![]() Last edited by prowler; 11 June 2010 at 23:35. |

The Hot Sound and Visdion CDs are on the EAB File Server in the /Commodore_Amiga/Misc/Various/PC/HotSound&Vision/ folder. ![]() There are archives containing both CDs in ISO format and the inserts are in the separate Artwork archive. |

Wow, I signed up purely to say a massive thanks for the uploads. Back around 1993 I bought the Hot Sound & Vision CDs and loved them, but a mate borrowed them and never got to give them back. I have just seen this forum and will see if they are still there to download, I hope so. I found here via Google search, sadly I never got an Amiga, but I did love my Atari ST in my pre-PC days, I would of course argue with my Amiga loving mates that my ST was the best. I think I remember bragging that mine had about .75 mhz of speed difference, ha.
By the way, if anyone can help me by naming the mod that says "oneknee, wu wu wu wu oneknee" then please let me know. Those aren't the correct words, but that is how it sounds. I have been looking for that mod again in over 18 years and I know it is on one of the sets. Thanks again !! |

I will keep hunting though as half of me thinks it isn't it. Shame things like Whacker Tracker don't work on windows, I remember creating some really amusing crap mods with that. My mate made a really good one called "Scum Mod" and it had samples from the movie Scum. Any idea how I can play the music demos by people like Future Crew (I think that was their name, I remember a chess piece moving and stuff) as it won't work under 64bit windows. Is there any windows player that will play them ? On an unrelated note, does anyone here know of a PC game sometime between 1993 and 1996 that has a intro where a soldier pops out of his tank and sees a rocket or something and shouts "incoming" in a really camp voice ? Yet another thing me and my mates used to laugh about. Guess this Hot Sound & Vision is bringing back the memories ![]() Finally it was amusing to see those girl swimsuit photos again, I remember that being a big bonus when I got the CDs in a pre-internet world. Looking at them now they are so tame, but a definite plus back then as a 14 year old. Last edited by BlizzardUK; 28 October 2012 at 01:36. |

I made the ISO images with ImgBurn. I never tried mounting them, as I have the original CDs. Since no one else has reported a problem with them, I just assumed everyone who'd downloaded them had burned them to disc.
I don't have the images on this machine now, but I usually mount ISOs in WinImage. If I have time tomorrow. I'll see if they work with that. |

For some reason I can't explain, I am unable to open either ISO image with WinImage, in order to explore the filesystem or extract any of the files.
However, I can mount both ISO images with WinImage, so that they appear as a virtual CD-ROM drive, and then I can use Windows Explorer to extract, view or execute any file on the disc. Try mounting the ISO images instead with MagicISO or Magic Disc (if they provide that option). Otherwise, simply burn them to CD-R. |

thats the problem... I use both MagicIso and MagicDisk already and it won't mount at all, i'll grab WinImage and see if that is any help (i.e. to grab some files and see whats on them)
Thanks prowler |
