Dual Boot with KX Light/WinXP
Hey There
If there is another topic similar to this, then I'm sorry, but anyway: Is it possible to Dual Boot with KX Light while you have an XP Install? ![]() |

Yes, of course.
![]() I would guess that the easiest methods are to use a partition manager to swap active primary partitions on your only hard drive, or to use the BIOS settings to swap between two boot drives, then install both operating systems accordingly. |

I think you need a bootloader for Windows that can boot linux partitions if you don't want to use Grub.
The first thing I found in Google is http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD. |

Hello,
Hi there. Your description is very clear. This sort of boot problem can be tricky to diagnose without more info tho.I downloaded the Rescatux CD image and burnt it. I restarted and booted from the CD. Using the software I did a file check and fixed the MBR on sda1. It's free, creates a booting CD and can re-install GRUB, and also fix the MBR, which would boot Windows right away.
