It seems to me that the descriptor is useful because the overdump flag is incorrect. The overdump is used to indicate the presence of useless tracks 80+
In our case, someone merged an splitted ADF (after DMS unpack) : Track 00-40 + Track 40-79

There are indeed some people, who want to know, why the image is bad.
but [o] and [b] looks logical for me, that [b] is result of [o].

Not so simple. Flag [b] is used for any kind of problem. It is also useful to distinguish different types of errors. It also avoids [b666]
Anyway, we try to find an elegant solution to move [b] [o] [u] elsewhere.

The descriptor is not mandatory, since you can add only [b], still it is sometimes useful to know what the error is, especially when there are several different bad dumps. Why? Well it may be useful to someone. For instance, if there is no good copy of the disk, users can choose between the "least bad dump" (for instance, one crashes during game play and other only has some sound/gfx glitches). The same with trying to reconstruct an image using bits of other sets and so on. Hope this makes sense

No! It's a true doscopy! Please check in The Zone ;-)

WHDLoad version was made with intact versions of the game? I doubt it! In some cases, you can make a WHDLoad dump with hacked / pirated / altered version of the game

It is a fact that a disk may be corrupted as it is without effect as for errors DMS. it does not make good copy anyway!

This is why I told you that this was not true fixed. Most of the time, problems "doscopy" are due to sharing and to the process of copying the copy. In this case, I rebuilt the source disk from data intact. The advantage of the BBS archives, it is sometimes to find the "original".

I think you're right, probably a DMS error was generated at the package (protection), after being cracked. errdms did not make sense.
