DJ Mike and myself have been working on it, it kind of works but there are bizarre access faults on several levels and one of the files on the original we were supplied is corrupt.

Unless you own the original you can send us, there isn't much use asking for the game to be installed.

Lollypop is screwed up big time. There are freak access faults that occur at random points, on ANY version of the game - no easy explanation other than just bad coding. I spent ages trying to track the problem down without much success

One thing I noticed about Lollypops HD Install is the amount of ram it requires to run the game.

I think it was 1.96mb chip or somewhere in that region, which isn't that practical to free up for casual Amiga users. Especially when most would have had a base Amiga.

I bet there was probably a lot of complaints back in the day trying to get this game to run from the HD.

This evening I've released the install for Lollypop, warts and all. Sadly we were never able to track down the source of the random bugs in the game (to do so would require taking apart the entire game piece by piece which just isn't worth it), so I'm afraid this isn't a 100% release, but it's as good as it gets - and at least I've installed it as real files for you Decrunch them to speed up loading if you want.

Yeah, just seen this some minutes ago on the WHDLoad page. Excellent news, guys.

Could you upload a preinstalled version, Mike?

edit: No checksum check? The cracked version works fine.

The game had no protection to begin with, so I would hardly think of any warez version as a crack!

Cracking unprotected games... interesting stuff!

I used the un-cracked first disk, then various other images I found. It seems to work fine but it is dull!

I think the [cr PDY] is simply because PDY released it (although maybe they tried to take credit for cracking it - pretty lame if they did!) - TOSEC, however, doesn't make any distinction between a real crack and a cracking group simply releasing a unprotected game.

@Codetapper, DJ Mike:

You can choose a "Sega Pad" in the options. Is there a button intend for jumping? I have a Sega Mega Drive Pad, but the jump with the Button A-C doesn't work.

I have installed the game using SPS 2864 and it seems to work fine.
It's in the zone if anybody wants to give it a more thorough testing session.

There seems to be differences using different configurations.
A1200 - no Track 40 access, so it works.
A500 - Track 40 access - GURU

Just tested the zoned version, with WinUAE 2.4.1, Classic Workbench UAE, A4000 Power settings, had a few graphics glitches before gameplay until I set it to cycle exact.
The games seems to play pretty well and looks like a nice game too. I have some sound glitching on it though, crackling.

Edit: Seems cycle exact causes the sound to crackle so I disabled it again, the graphics glitches are there before you start the game, very minor though.

File "6E" in WHDLoad installed game is corrupt.
Try to unpack this file, it does not.

Submit to SPS, if you are not the one, who has contributed existing SPS release, maybe you have good version.
I can check it too.

If you are the contributor of available IPF, then there is no need to convert to ADF.
Available IPF has 1 corrupted file, fault of the developer/publisher.

you need to use the update disk as disk 1 (available on internet).

See if the WHD installed version in the zone is better.
It's installed using the updated disk 1.
File 6E has same filesize but different crc.

it is an absolute shame this game does not work in NTSC! Why does it REQUIRE PAL to work???? Does not even use the whole screen! Not to mention it runs like arse in PAL

No not as far as I know.

Indeed, like this one!

MegaBall (1994)(Hawkeye Soft)[cr Extreme][AGA & ECS version].adf

1. MegaBall isn't by "Hawkeye Software", it was (as it well known) an independent production by Ed & Al Mackey. First versions were actually Shareware, and only the last version was a 'commercial' release (distributed through IAM) that had nothing to do with this "Hawkeye Software". Seems like some idiots removed all the original text from the game referring to the original authors and changed all the text to this 'Hawkeye Software' nonsense.

2. There is nothing here to crack, but this version has a crack intro saying that it's been 'cracked'... D'oh!!
