You could ask the composer. Tim Wright aka CoLD SToRAGE.

He has a very visible web presence and is a Facebook user.

He was also behind Shadow of the Beast II & III game tunes! Very creative with his work - love the ambience.

Kitty - you planning on revamping the tune?!

Well I just wanted to play it on the piano for now, but I think this would be a great tune to remix into a dubstep or maybe a drum and bass track.

I figured out a bunch of the tune while messing around with the piano, unfortunately i cant write sheet music.

Yoi should give it a try, it ain't tht hard and since you know how to play piano properly you should be able to do it faster and with more grace than me

In a similar conversation I have just had a method for converting mod to sheet music app works (no idea i can't read sheet music) .

Use Modplug to convert the mod to midi and get the samples out
Then use Notation Musician to convert the midi to sheet music.

Well, OctaMED does display music sheet information, doesn't it? So maybe you can load the MOD there and give it a go.

If I still had Cakewalk on this here computer, I would have had a go at notating it myself! It'd just be a case of looking at the module to see which notes are being used and translating that to notation myself on Cakewalk. I've never found OctaMED's notation feature that ideal, for one or two reasons. The piano intro to Agony is one of my favourite pieces of Amiga music ever!

Just upped to the zone the sheet music converted with the method I mentioned before, I can't actually listen to anything at the moment as I am in the office so anyone with some musical talent wants to have a look.

Ok I finally got time to try this sheet music out.
I'm sorry to say it generated it incorrectly, some notes which are supposed to be C's are shown as G's and also other notes were very wrong too, so it's pretty unreadable, also it shows the notes as letters rather than actual notes so in theory I could read it (kinda) but it took a lot longer than reading regular notes, after painstakingly going though it a few times did I realise that its pretty much unplayable and doesn't sound like Agony much at all
Many thanks though for your time to create this anyway, it was certainly worth a try

I have recorded the music from winuae to a dictaphone and I have worked out quite a lot of the song to piano by ear, once I have mastered it I will write the notes to paper and scan it and upload it, for now that's the only solution unless the sheet music is possibly found

I wouldn't be quick to blame the software. Perhaps the samples in use were detuned. This was very common back then.

One of my favorite bands were also heavily influenced by the music of Agony.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDeQI949nIA

Dimmu Borgir released it on their Stormblast album; it wasn't until years later that the band found out their then ex keyboardist had essentially plagiarized the track.

I hate when people create things and don't credit the original authors... Lots of things of this nature also occur in history I suppose!

Yep.

The band didn't know about it though, their keyboardist basically ripped it.

Don't let that sully them though, Dimmu Borgir are actually very very good!

PS... I started experimenting a little earlier; it's not actually that hard. Just keep in the minor modes and you should be fine.

To make it easy, the left hand notes always seem to be the root of the triad of whatever particular note is going on in the right hand. The left hand is also your timing, it's just a straight 4/4.
